No. I've withheld drawing for 'fun' until I finished with my school reading and all next week I'm going to the museum after school to paint a mural with my friend that needs to be done before the 13th and I've got AP art stuff (advanced art) and various other homeworks. This year's been really busy for me. orz
Aw. Well that's fine. In that case I'll be patient.
*awaits Thanksgiving break*
Ha! I'd hope I can do it before thanksgiving. xD
But that's kinda why all my recent stuff has been tegaki scribbles. No time. :c
Before Thanksgiving? Well that makes things more unexpected. Surprise me.
Well, drawing on something is better than nothing. Gotta make some time for yourself sometime or else... well, you don't want to find out.
... I'm not gonna ask lol
Well, I'm doodling a little for sketchbook assignments for art class. But I wanna finish my reading before I go back to drawing. I'd just feel guilty otherwise. D:
Question : what is thanksgiving actually?
A holiday. There's some really weird history behind it, but I personally don't care much for its origins. It's a break for families to get together and have dinner or something. The main tradition is having turkey. And that's about it I think. Oh, there's parades .
The reason why the history behind it is messed up because children programming(cartoons) tends to shed its origins in a positive light in the reality was it wasn't(atleast that's what those that claim it's propaganda to be). You can look it up if you want.
Well I know the Turkey part but I mostly wanted to know the origins :p
I'll look it up , thanks man ;)
This reminds me of a quote I found from Jon Stewart:
"I celebrated Thanksgiving in an old-fashioned way. I invited everyone in my neighborhood to my house, we had an enormous feast, and then I killed them and took their land."
:P
Oh so it's like an Oktoberfest for celebrating that the farming went well?
Sooooo...why turkey then?
I think turkey was of the things served at the original feast, so people want to keep up that tradition I guess.
ha! but my family are rebels; we usually ate pekingese duck wraps on thanksgiving.![]()
We have chicken. Less dry and takes less effort to cook.
Yeah I've heard Turkey can be dry.. it's funny cuz I think I've heard people say "yeah we know turkey is awful, but we have it anyway for the sake of tradition."
I eat ham on thanksgiving. Only because I don't like turkey. lol
You have the right idea. Thanksgiving. Christmas. Ham is top priority.
Yup. Special occasions: Ham, broccoli and rice/mashed potatoes/backed potatoes. <3

Sounds tasty. Whenever we have left over ham, we use it in Chinese fried rice, sammiches, and soup.
Sticky rice?yuckCool~
... now I'm hungry. lol
Sticky? Where did sticky come from?
