good god, I can't believe I've been so busy that it took me this long to reply to you. This month is such a pain in the butt.

to be honest, when I first saw myself, for some reason, that fedora reminded me of Kisuke Urahara's hat. I bet part of me was like "this person is too cool-looking to be me." oh, I think the hair also threw me off. I was growing my hair out, but my mom finally managed to force me to let her cut it so it's back to being roughly shoulder length. :I

man, I could just stare at this pic for hours. It's just such a great atmosphere of camaraderie and liveliness. Really heart-warming stuff.

You know, for awhile, I thought all the fishman pirates were weak losers. Of course, they are weak losers, but I'm finding myself warming up to Zeo quite a bit more. meanwhile Hyozou is heading most assuredly towards the country of "meh" cuz of the last chapter. Perhaps this is partly because you drew them as kids, but I really like this sketch.

I could have added Hyozou if he did appear in the flashback, but I suppose he's more of a hired gun they met as they grew older. That and he does not seem to have any qualms with humans .. or.. anything really. I made this pic because somehow after the latest chapter, they felt like they had more depth than any villians in the series. The are very weak, but message behind them is a powerful reminder. It would not have worked well if they were skilled or very strong naturally. That's how I see it atleast, and it did give me the urge to draw them... which is kinda rare. I never have the urge to draw villains in OP.

omg. I just read the chapter after posting. It's official: I effin' LOVE Zeo. XD

and now that I think on it, the fishmen pirates' most interesting moment was in the flashback as kids. I can't remember the exact chapter, but yeah. They're certainly a unique brand of villain. Of course, every villain has his/her own quirks, but I can't even think of another that could compare to them in terms of symbolism. Their history has a lot of weight to it, if that makes any sense at all.

Zeo's my favorite of the bunch too. Mianly because of his uncreative attack names, and his unsurpassed ability to make up new ones.

Zeo vs. Brook was the most hysterical thing ever. "Come on. You got stabbed." XD In a way he kind of reminds me of Gedatsu because he just keeps getting goofier as time progresses. I'm totally on board with him getting a cover story.
