Kristen Stewart is a sufferance to the term acting. In Twilight she seems to think 'acting all angsty huffy puffy and shaking her head around' is good acting. I have my criticisms of Twilight, and I even thought, 'hey the third one isn't actually that bad' but the her performance in them made it look like a cheap porno.
I think either Jessica Biel or Kristen Bell from those choices.
If Kristen "Wooden Acting" Stewart play Lois, this film is already officially terrible.
I hope to dear god there was never a serious consideration of her. ANYONE Else on that list would be a better fit. Hell, Robin Williams donning Drag again for the first time since Mrs. Doubtfire would be marginally better than Kristen Stewart as Lois. At least he can act.
I don't really care for Superman, but Darkstorm is completely right about the Darkseid and Superman fight. It was so epic and it was surprisingly violent for a kids show.

''If I had known that one death would anger you so much I would have killed more, and kill more I shall Superman''
-Darkseid.
Fucking great. But Darkseid should have exhausted Supes some more though, I mean Superman just overpowered him through willpower alone, I think Darkseid is more powerful in the comics right?
Is Darkseid watered down from the comics? I mean hear they watered down Superman because his comics counterpoint is strong enough to destroy planets, and move at the speed of light.
Darkseid is the Freeza of Superman.
About this new film can it have Darkseid in it?...I think he can be awesome if done right.
Considering this is the start of a new series of Superman Movies, I doubt Darkseid would show up yet, but he could show up eventually, and it would be awesome if he did.
Some candidates for villains in this new series:
Luthor
Brainiac
Metallo
Darkseid
Bizarro
Parasite
Toyman (Perhaps?)
Maybe even Livewire?
I think this movie will deal with Lex Luthor and Brainiac.
I like Luthor but he just seems overused in films, granted he should appear in this film; but I want a better adaption of him than then the Hackman camp performance. I'll really miss John Williams score, and I wonder if the new composer can match up to it. Also I think think they will be aiming for a 'young Clark Kent' similar to how Nolan's reboot of Batman is aiming for a 'young Bruce Wayne' but I think they did that with Smallville right?
I think the best way to go is that make like Smallvile a little bit and have Lex Luthor be friends with a young Clark Kent, now I know Smallvile has problems but it doesn't hurt to take a few ques from it.
But my main gripe is that Zack Snyder is doing the directing and with Nolan leaving everything to him to work on Rises, I'm very skeptical and I haven't been impressed with his work so far. He can do great action scenes and and certainly is the right pick for Superman is this area, unfortunately judging by his previous works (most notably 300) I don't have confidence in his storytelling abilities.

New interview with Synder.
The bolded is significant to me for some reason. Are you trying to fit Superman into your aesthetic, or change your approach to fit the Superman mythos?
I feel like, I mean I've said to the studio that this will probably be the most realistic Superman movie ever made. It takes place in the real world much more than [my previous films]... I mean, I've just never had the subject matter that needed that, you know what I mean? Like everything I've done up to this point really has the benefit of existing in a stylized world. It's fun for me that the most realistic movie, the movie that I'd say I'm making in the most realistic way of any movie I've ever done is a movie called Superman! That's kinda fun!
I will never be able to take villains in a movie called "Metallo" and "Braniac". I don't care how established they are in the comics. The names are stupid and any regular joe is gonna laugh his way out of the theater as soon as these names are uttered.
And Two-Face or Joker don't sound stupid? Not to mention, there's a video game system called a Playstation. That sounds like something a little kid would play on in a park.
We've grown use to names like that by now, and we don't think they're ridiculous anymore.
