After reading the nakama threads for the past few months I have come to believe that this is exactly what some of those people believe.


And at the risk of getting flamed, yes AGOG goes a little overboard sometimes but to me his arguments seem somewhat reasonable and not the ramblings of a madman.
If people actually bothered to read them...

You might laugh, but Jinbei's physical size is a hindrance towards him joining; if he cannot fit, how can he join?

Another thing that hurts Jinbei is Fishman Island because we know nothing of it. Perhaps there are fishman that are close to Jinbei and will join in his stead. Perhaps, Jinbei turns cynical and some outsider ends up joining-- just the truth of there being no information about FI leaves readrs unable to make a choice on Jinbei because there isn't anything we can expect from it.

A lot of people argue that Jimbei will act as a some kind of guide for the strawhats when they get to fishman island. That is to some extent also fanfic.
It's a rather believable fanfic but fanfic nonetheless.

You have to be able to use the word "perhaps", or this wouldn't be speculation. It would be straight out fact, and we don't have that. Our goal, however, is to make that "perhaps" as credible as possible using logical arguments.

Or in AGOG's case there, provide additional "perhapses" to arguments already made, because there can be more than one solution to a problem.

Margiritte is so terrible a choice, so much worse then Perona.
I mean jesus christ she's one of the most plastic characters in the series ever.
She has no conflict, no motive, no personality, no quirks.

She doesn't even have quirks.
