However, going by the supposed SBS information in the Volume 59 thread, I highly doubt it's legitimate - Oda wouldn't give a major clue as to who will be the next crewmember in an SBS before the crewmember's been revealed in the weekly releases, and there hasn't been any pictures of the SBS itself.

huh i think i'm going to just ignore this info, cause it just seems i woudl be to biased. trying to think of how 29, 2, 9, 292, 929, or 2929 can mean anything relating to current potentials.

perona: the whole paw paw fruit of kuma sounds like 2929 right? well she did get pawed away
Hancock: she is 29, and the whole kuja (9) pirates.

thats all i got for those numbers. anything else someone can think of for any of those number combinations or any significance historically to those numbers?

I still maintain that Jimbei is the most likely candidate, regardless of the number, seeing as we can't tell the meaning yet. For all we know, it could refer to a character that hasn't been introduced yet.

Maybe it's Jimbei's fishman karate level (honestly, I'm not that in favor of Jimbei, either, but he's on top of any other candidate in terms of character preference and likelihood)

There's a certain topic being heavily talked about/joked about in there, and I already see that leaking into here, even if the actual chapter itself isn't mentioned.

There's a grey area and a fuzzy line here, but I'd suggest avoiding adding new "X for nakama" characters until the actual chapter is out.

I really don't think we're going to get a new nakama until FI (at the earliest.) The SHs reunion has to come before anyone new joins. None of the characters look very viable either, though Jimbei and Hancock will continue to be major allies.

I'm guessing that the next crewmate will be a helmsman. The SHs seem to be matched up against Blackbeard's crew, and Blackbeard has a helmsman. Also, no position has been foreshadowed lately. Helmsman would fit well with that - they didn't need one before, but looking at how dangerous the New World's waters are, they might need in the future. Someone like Hachi or Jimbei could easily make note of it.

Heh, if both are true, then with the "former enemy" thing and the "2929" thing, there are two big candidates for nakama: Hancock and Kuma. :p
