You, me, and 99.9% of the fandom hate Brock. He should've gone to die like Misty did. Hell, it would've made him better if they had actually had him be a gym leader again. They keep dumping baby pokemon on him, like they did Misty, so he can't do anything but stand in the background.
Also, James is losing his Cacnea. May he have a nice, new home.
Edit: And, something good/funny about a character is better than NOT having something good/funny.
Eh, quirks pretty much make or break characters in the show.
OH SHI-
My favorite gym leaders in the first game were Koga and Blaine. I can't remember much about Koga in the show, but I liked poison types.
Never got to see Blaine in the show though because the channel it was on stopped airing around that time.
I honestly don't see a reason why you'd watch an anime that's only purpose is to promote a video game series.
But that's just me.

I still stand by my statement that the Whiscash episode was the best one. The crazy fisherman guy threw a master ball at the giant Whiscash and it ATE IT. Simply amazing.
Shit! The Whiscash one and the Claydol one hands down were the best.
OH SHI-
Mostly to laugh at how bad it is.
"What kind of shameless ads await me this time? 8 badges, grass starter, lose a league, rinse and repeat's never felt so great!"
Croagunk is one of the few things I liked from the little I've seen of the new series. But other than watching a few clips on the internet I haven't watched Pogeymans in a long time.
Strung out in heaven's high, hitting an all-time low.
I liked how Shinji/Paul's training style is exactly the same as the one you need to e successful in the actual games
and "HE'S A BAD GUY BUBUBUBUUBu"
Diamond/Pearl is pretty good (much better than most of POKEMON ADVANCE and similar shit). Dawn's actually a likable sidekick.
anyway
best episodes:
GLIGARMAN
Whiscash (grrr I wish Japan didn't cancel the second Whiscash episode)
Sudowoodo (derp which type is he)
Old Man Shuckle
The one about the SLOWPOKE BUDDHIST SECT was a fucking amazing thing holy shit I kid you not. That's one religion I'd sign up for in a heartbeat if it existed irl
I remember seeing a youtube clip a long time ago that showed Pikachu beating a Rhydon. I remember one line that always stuck out because it was so retarded. Ash saying "GO FOR THE HORN" just cracked me up. It's sad the show didn't even follow the source's rules when it comes to types.

They gave Blaine a Rhydon in the show!? He's a fire type gym leader. Are you sure it wasn't Giovanni's? Did Ash ever even face him to begin with?
Yeah I asked about that earlier in the thread. I don't really see anything wrong with it, but it's different in the show since they're actually alive there. It's funny though, everyone basically uses them to fight like in cockfights, yet they have a problem with that Paul guy for wanting a stronger team.
Irnoically, in a recent episode Pikachu didn't aim for a Rhydon yet the ability of Lighting Rod attracted the lighting to it's horn, but didn't hurt it. Kinda bizarre.

I'm wearing my nostalgia glasses. Bias is guaranteed.

I used to be pretty big in Pokemon when I was thirteen, but after the Indigo League the series quality tapered off pretty quickly. It got unbearable about halfway through Johto - when I was watching Whitney battle with her Miltanks, I thought to myself "why am I watching this? It sucks!" and stopped.
Reminds me, I need to head off to BMG.
