Are you talking about the Crab Man one? I'll admit that I was thrown off the scent, but the formula was still the same. Introduce the water vendor, introduce the captain (he was in the ep. before, but really introduced here), make the captain the obvious suspect and the vendor the real criminal. I was only thrown off because I completely forgot about the vendor while getting worked up over thinking, "They can't really make it the captain. If they do, then I'll never watch this show again..."

No not really. It was actually looked like the Captain was the red herring and the President was the culprit. But then it turned out that the president was a red herring too and the culprit was a character introduced for a few seconds and given only the most subtle of hints. T'was awesome. Man-Crab is definitely the best episode so far.

That was a great episode. The Man Crab functioned like an actual monster. It gave me the creeps almost.

This episode's twist was awesome. I actually thought it was the president of the company, not the mascot.

Also, Trickle's Triquid- Low fat, diet approach to water was hilarious.

The show is a ton of fun and strange with some of what it does. Heck, I found it hilarious we had a 90210 reference in the same episode as...Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm? And yeah...every time I saw the Man-Crab, I kept thinking of Genji 2 (and how Shaggy and Scooby actually did knock it down to 'attack it's weak point for minor damage')

    Tonights episode was okay.
I was kind of dissapointed I had everything figured out once I heard Que Horrible talk, even the motive.
I was also dissapointed that there was no mention of Mr. E.

I feel so bad for poor Shaggy. Velma is such a controlling girlfriend XD

Same here; it was a real mistake to have Que Horrifico speak and it derailed an episode that started off quite well.

Was that Red Herring in the library?

And, an odd thought to be sure, but the first few minutes of episode makes me wish somebody would make a new Ghostbusters show. We have a new Scooby Doo, we're getting a new Thundercats, GI Joe, and Transformers. Why not a new Ghostbusters?

From the moment we heard the ghost breathe/talk, it sort of ended up being obvious. But I actually did like the idea of the girl coaxing the kids to play along with her. (though the TV show that finally broke the spell...what was it? It felt like the weird fusion of Spongebob, Chowder and The Flintstones)

Yeah, the ploy was pretty obvious and Velma has become the most annoying character in the cast.

That "Don't act so happy, we're supposed to be married!" line cracked me up, though.

I really do like the fact that Velma and Shaggy are together, but the funny thing is, before this show started, Shaggy had started dating Velma's sister. Course, it was in that movie, but I kinda liked Velma's sis

I wouldn't mind seeing the Extreme Ghost Busters air again, that show was the shit!

I never liked Scooby Doo (The Live Action Movie) or its sequel, Monsters Unleashed, but I did like The Mystery Begins despite the fat Scooby Doo. I don't think this movie will be that bad either. Neither the gang or the mystery in "The Mystery Begins" was bad. I especially liked the Shaggy in the movie.

I also caught up with the new series.

On the up side I do really like the monsters, and the Mr. E story arc is pretty interesting and original.

    On the down side...
I don't like how controlling Velma is.
I also sometimes can't stand Fred but after tonight's episode I'm starting to think "at least some" of his cluelessness is just an act.
    Spoiler:
I think Fred totally knows that Daphne likes him but he just wants to just stay friends for now at least. I got that vibe from a lot of places this episode.

The "mystery" was pretty cool. I did find it really odd when "Alice" was telling her "story" that she was a little girl when the Creature was captured even though she's the same age as the gang. Then the big reveal happened and I was like Woah.

Tonight's episode could have used more red herrings, it's like it force fed the answer to us.

The Mr E twist at the end though was good though

Wow, Alice's design was totally a cross between 70's Gwen Stacy wearing 70's Mary Jane Watson's clothes.

There will be Punch and Pie!

Honestly, I liked that this was more a character development episode with a "sort of" mystery thrown in. (though weirdly I actually knew there was somthing off considering that Mary Ann would have to be their age if she's the same age as them and they recently caught The Creeper) Besides, the Mr. E plot is moving.

While the Mystery wasn't completely a mystery, I really enjoyed this episode.

I loved the yearbook picture of the old mystery inc at the end:
When I saw it, the first thing I thought of was this:
    Hidden:

    Anyone else?

I really liked the ending moving the plot forward and adding more to the Mr. E mystery.

Next weeks episode looks really promising for some Fred character development.
