On another forum i read an argument between someone who proposed Jen is a spy (tested zuko's juggling and lead him to a place where firebending was needed) and another one who thought that this was probably her only appearance and zukos story was solely about zuko and not about the beginning of a relationship.

I'd like it to be a relationship of considerable time :)

Imo, if she was an agent she must be one hell of an good actress.

In a way, tales of ba sing se would suddenly become as dark as #214 though if she actually were part of the Dai Li,....and for us it would start to be very stressfull to watch a Zuko that has yet again been bitterly disappointed ^^

    .
What's with the final scene, wasn't that supposed to be a place where appa went through?

At first i was sure he found a footprint of appa making his story one of the more important ones but now i wonder why there's only a single footprint

because the rest of the area had stone instead of soil?

That wasn't really character development. More like Development in the story. Kind of like some sort of foreshadowing I see in Appa trying to eat momo in the dream.

Anyways, I doubt that Jen's an actress. Otherwise she could've taken down zuko right then and there with her spyness.

what about the character devolpment of Momo?
What is 19% of Avogadro's Constant?
This is a slightly dated episode, but I don’t think that is the point. We had what some might call a script for this one and in the ended up becoming Who’s Line is It Anyway? And I was Drew Carey...

    thank you very much.

now i wann know if momo will lead the others there and if they can find some kind of trail or if it was just supposed to be a cool ending without further relevance.

well, momo now has connections to the animal society of the town^^
in almost every other cartoon featuring animal comrades there is a scene where that pet summons some locals to rescue their human friends.

maybe we haven't seen those little pumas the last time.

The Momo-monkey dance was pure gold, as was the Sakka haiku battle. The tribute to Mako was nice. But the one question I have: how does Appa, a creature with 6 feet, make only ONE FOOTPRINT IN THE STONE?!

I'm inclined to disagree. I always get a laugh out of the poor cabbage man...wouldn't it be great if he showed up in the fire nation at the end of the series? Some soldiers torch his cabbages and he just goes insane on them. God I'd love that.

I wonder how this season is going to end? Maybe the fire nation will use hot air balloons and float over the walls or something. Didn't they find some at the machinist's place? Then Aang finds Appa, and they fly up and kick their sorry asses.

And I also sadly believe that they may kill Iroh at the end of this season. I would cry...

Couldn't the Earth Kingdom peoples just shoot down the hot air balloons?

Probably. But the Fire Nation is smart, I'm sure they'd take precautions to that kinda thing.

Another siege to ward off,...you think it's certain every season will end with a great battle against the fire nation? Will aang fuse with an earth spirit this time^^?

anyway, some mean baloon-attack by the fire guys is sure to come some time in the series.

His spirits were down after the encounter with that kangaroo-bunny-thing, maybe he's finally given up now^^

yeah it was funny having it bashed by the package delivery system, and the large swoosh of air in that little port town where they met the Pirates was funny too. everything else was pretty good, but having that strange creature in the ticket office eat it was fine, but it's losing the humor and turning more into wow, he lost his cabbages again.

altohugh I would like to see the fire nation torch it and uses his kng fu on them for it.

lets jsut say the fake avatars part was funnier(lol Aangs beocme a celebrity)

the cabbage guy is going to be a great asset in the story. When the fire nation burns his cabbages...he'll finally snap and show off his super cool skills to the world and help the avatar! ok maybe not

i hope that they do bring the old fire rebel back, but i want him to train zuko too if iroh is truly gone. Its not like he has anywhere to turn to. It would be funny to see him and the avatar training together. once again maybe not but that would be cool to see

Well, generally seasons end with a bang, and epic fights bang like fireworks. I doubt he'll fuse with a earth spirit (too much rehash with that) but he'll possibly go avatar state.

Methinks that the fire nation finally punctures the inner circle somehow (don't really know) and Aang will have to rally the people in some way. Maybe. This is all just crazy speculation mind you.

I don't really see Aang going avatar state. Ba Sing Se doesn't have the same type of connection the northern water tribe had. Mainly because of the disconnection from the war and trust in the avatar.

Methinks that The fire nation also uses a form of brainwashing on its POW's, forcing them to attack their own city, but chooses not to reveal it until it can choose a final moment where it feels most confident that it's ready to strike so as they become not a staple war zone that the earth kingdom can recapture them.

And one of the brainwashed people is Katara And Sokka's father.

I've got the impression that that state isn't handled very stringent though.

*If* roku's explanation of it being a defense mechanism was accurate of course.

I guess anger is connected to feelings of danger and fear but imo it stretches the concept of a defense nonetheless and then again i recall he didn't enter avatar state when the blue spirit came to rescue him and for a moment it looked like aang was surely going to die.

Well, that's the thing. Unless he gets ridiculously angry at something, something this city really doesn't have in any connection, he can't go avatar state.

You know, that can't really be predicted.

If during a battle for ba sing se aang himself gets cornered somehow he may enter avatar state to save himself and then, while he's at it^^, widen his actions on the main part of the enemy forces.

it's all up to the story writers.
