    i liked this episode too

i mean, i was kind of worried this series would be nothing but STORY STORY SERIOUSNESS since it had to be condensed, so i'm happy to say i'm actually glad to see a bit of filler

it's nice to have a bit of downtime to just get to know korra and the bros a little bit more (and relationship building/shipping... well the first series had an ep or two dedicated to it, so i cant really complain)

it seems like they're getting through the Pro-Bending stuff really quickly if next ep is the finals.

I was so heartbroken for Bolin T_T

Aside I think the story is moving along smoothly. I don't know if I posted it before, but the title for next week's episode is
    Spoiler:
"And The Winner Is...", inplying it's the final match of the Pro-Bending tournament. The description says the Fire Ferrets face their new rivals for the championship, while evil lurks over the horizon.

Obviously from all the commericals we've seen that Amon crashes the scene, so I'm certain that's the "evil looming on the horizon" described.

You think if that's the case maybe Amon takes away the bending of the opposing team?

Just because Nick is stupidly throwing things into their commercials, doesn't mean they aren't spoilers. Be careful when talking about future episodes.

I for one only tune into the channel for the episode and then leave quickly, so I'm managing to avoid commercials pretty much entirely.

Yeah, this episode really is going to be a love-it-or-hate-it among the fans, is it? I mean it's an episode devoted not only to shipping but trolling the shippers, I can see the anti-shipping fans and some of the shipping fans hating Korra (both the character and the show)

    Spoiler:
For me though, as a neutral non-shipper, I had great fun watching this episode, laughing throughout the scenes. I mean, at least with the whole relationship drama dealt with in this episode, we won't have the sexual tension hanging around when the serious scenes come and interfering with the plot. And while the whole thing is resolved in the end and things go back to how it was, I'm sure we're not really back to square one, we will still have repercussions - after all, things seem to end pretty well in episode 3, only for it to hit the fan in the next episode.

I do have some complaints though - after how bad a state Korra was in last episode, she seems awfully cheery and unaffected this episode. Sure, I can totally buy her trying to stay positive and get her mind off it, but it's like none of the event even happened. Also, there's actually a fourth person in this triangle, and Asami's feelings aren't shown or developed as much as the main trio. I mean yes, those three are more main characters, but I feel like I know nothing about her character. She's cool and I like her dad, but I wish we can get a bit more focus on her as well. Lastly, the resolution at the end seems really quick. I know they're friends and brothers, and they know there are more important things at stake and they've cooled their heads a bit, but for the whole thing to be gone in literally the last minute - well, I won't mind as much as they show things aren't that easily dealt with next episode.

If I blame someone, I blame Pema though, none of this would happen without her advice. Sure, her advice isn't actually bad, but Im' not sure it's right to say when Korra has some crucial things to do right now, like Probending tournament and fighting the equalists. Korra has more at stake than your natural teenager, just because it works for her...which reminds me! Remember when Pema said that her being aggressive is what drives Tenzin away from his current girlfriend and go for her instead? What if that other woman is Lin Bei Fong? Sure, it might be cheesy that 'everyone and everything is connected', but they're of the same age, they would know each other from their parents, and that would explain why Lin is so ice-cold toward Tenzin's family....might just be a random girl though.

    Spoiler:
here's a crazy theory (and this just might be the Tokka talking) i think they're going to play up the Lin and Tenzin thing (LINTEN rofl) but it think that's just going to be a red herring

or it could be true IDK

i think this ep will cool this shipping jets for awhile. everybody knows where everybody stands, and we're kind of at a stalemate as long as that other girl is there. this might give Bolin some time to get his foot in the romance door

As someone who could gives 2 shits about "fanshipping" I found this episode to be enjoyable, but very much an episode with a single purpose. It was the "romance" episode, and now I think the series can continue without the romantic tension looming over the characters, as it did in the first series. It will still be there of course, but now it's no longer a "will they, won't they."

Enjoyed the episode. There's a lot of fun moments in this one. Tenzin's children are golden.

The only thing I felt missing was Asami. Hope she gets some screentime soon and gets character development instead of just being a plot device-ish character.

And despite the spoilers in the nick commericals, most if not all of the scenes that were spoiled have either already been shown or will be shown by next episode I beileve, so in retrospect there's a lot left unknown about LoK. I have no idea what's going to happen after the tournament.

Wow, am I the only one who thought the relationship progress was too fast in this episode? I mean I know this is going to be a shorter series, but a full blown kiss only 5 episodes in between characters who were only just acknowledging their crushes? These new Avatars move quick!

It occurs to me that there's a pretty simply and obvious way that Korra can resolve the romance dispute between her and the brothers.

Tahno is a waterbender so I'm guessing the final match will end with a tie breaker. Which I prefer because there can be physical contact.

I could have done without an entire episode of romantic drama, but I'm kind of glad they got a lot of it out of the way and out in the open.

Also, while I'm itching for some main plot/Amon centric content, I have to admit I had fun watching the pro bending scenes. It was especially good for making me like Bolin's character more.

I kind of want to see some more air bending training because I like Tenzin and his family.

Didn't think about this, but this is a good point. I didn't care for the episode, but it was the first one where Bolin seemed like more than a caricature of Sokka.
