This was the first episode I really liked. Hopefully, this moves beyond the trivial stuff that's been taking up space so far--pro bending--and progresses the plot.

I am concerned that I find the adult characters much more interesting than any of the youngsters thus far.

Sort of. So far Korra's only gotten flashes when she's on the edge of consciousness, so she really needs some spiritual training if she's going to tap into her past lives.

There are dozens of these drifting all around tumblr right now. Just like there are dozens of charaA/charaB kissing and charaC showing up late. I think my favorite of those is Korra/Korra kissing and Korra coming late.~

I don't know Aang didn't have any visions from Roku's past save for the comet. I'm still waiting in anticipation for Aang and Korra's first meeting. I have a feeling with what she's gotten into he's going to end up saving her from something.

I'm gonna take a guess that Episode 10 will be the one where either Aang and Korra meet, or Korra gets the full vision. Or both.

In TLAB the tenth episodes were usually important. It might change here since before it was the middle points in the seasons, but still I'm expecting it.

Aang was all budy with Roku since the first solstice, when Aang was like 12, and Roku told him everything he needed, We don't know if "The avatar and the Firelord" and the Advices from the 4 past avatars were narrations or Aang trully saw that, for argument's sake let's say that he did have the flashbacks.

Spoiler:

Aang is trying desperately to comunicate with Korra, with any means necesary, but with her lowered spiritual awareness has allowed him to only trigger response when the avatar state would had normaly activated.

If my theory is correct, we are bound to see next gen Guru Patik, or Tenzin getting vissions from his father.

They need to bring somebody in to teach Korra the spiritual side of all this; I still say it ought to be Hue.

Of course, there is probably some site in Republic City like the Fire Temple where it would be easier for her to contact Aang directly even without that much spiritual training. It was much easier for Roku to speak with Aang at the Fire Temple for instance.

That or she could always ask Tenzin for something of Aang's to use as a spiritual focus like how the latter was able to channel Kiyoshi directly with some of her clothing.
