Well this makes Tarlock so much more interesting, he's completely aware that he's doing exactly what Amon is talking about, but they are both extremes. They hate each other, and one of them is going to win.

Well, they said the episode would be a doozy. They were right.

Awesome episode from beginning to end, pretty much.

I'd already guessed that Tarrlok was basically the flipside of Amon, but fucking BLOODBENDER!? Should have guessed.

The only thing I could think at the end though was, "Well, at least a prison is a convenient place to think about her visions . . . ."

Hmmm, there's a new fan theory that might be interesting:

Tarrlok is actually Amon and is manipulating everyone for his goals. Which at this point are starting to look like World Domination. (I dunno if it is or not, but at the least it feels like he wants Republic City.)

Tarrlok being Amon would explain how he can spirit-bend. And hey, maybe he does believe that the spirits came to him and annointed him the Messiah. And maybe his parents were killed by a firebender. Eeesh.

Looks like Yakone killed or seriously injured Sokka with Bloodbending, the same for Toph in the Courthouse when she tried to subdue him with Metalbending, and was also able to lock down Aang with it when he attempted to stop him.

So... Yakone is Hama's grandson and Tarrlok is her great-grandson?

Hard to interpret that flashback any other way really. Yakone killing Sokka would explain the trial being attended by the Avatar as well as Toph personally acting as a bailiff.

This was my thoughts after thinking back on the flashback, only I went beyond 'seriously hurt' and horrified myself. They've already gone pretty damn far for a 'kid's show' in Korra, so why not go a little further...

And of course, next week I'm going to be working all day Saturday, so I won't be seeing the next episode until after 6pm. Stupid cliffhangers!

I hope the nonbenders seeing Korra defending them helps her in the long run.

If Korra managed to kill Tarlokk it actually would have helped her campaign against Amon(Assuming he isn't Tarlokk. I don't think he is). Lets say hypothetically that she killed Tarlokk and was able to prove to the police that Tarlokk attacked her first and managed to get the council to side with Tenzin, then the nonbenders would be released from arrest, they would spread good word about Korra.

Amon's whole thing is that "Benders cause the worlds trouble". By showing that there are two sides to each coin, that benders can be good and bad, as can nonbenders, then it would definitely weaken support for Amon.

But you know, Tarlokk's a big douchebag.
