Some new Avatar: The Legend of Korra merchandise has been released by Nick (T-Shirts, accessories, etc.)

Good to see all this merch. I myself would like the iPhone case, but 40$ is a lot for a case.

Also to be noted there is no home release in this "catalog". Though I hope we get news on that subject soon ^^

Did higher res versions of those Comic Con posters ever turn up?

Bonus points if it's not a scan of the poster!

So, this might have been covered before, but isn't Sokka really the true hero of A:TLA? Watching that finale (still awesome), it certainly seems like that fleet of airships was set to do a heckuva lot more damage than Ozai in the amount of time the comet was present.

He took down an Army, who was conveniently in a very precarious place, so, in the day of Sozin's comet he saved way more lives than the rest of the cast.

But if we are going to look it from a bigger picture, I guess that Katara saved the most lives overal, Fire Lady Unbound Azula would have been a catastrophe waiting to happen.

The true hero of Avatar is Private Wang Fire.

Not the next book, but the next series, yes.

nah, aang cut off the head of the snake. if the leadership in the fire nation hadn't changed, they'd continue on causing problems until it did

successful people make successful choices. wasting time is not one of them!! read this and feel regret

Yeah, Iroh points out that the Avatar has to be responsible for taking down Ozai. Anybody else doing it would simply either make him a casualty of war or family infighting, but the Avatar doing it means that the Spirit World itself is against the Fire Nation.

    Booooo

    No Korra movie!

If anything, do an a:TLA movie! I know there's the comics, but an animated version of them going to find Zuko's mom, or anything else would be amazing.
I just want more of the good team avatar.

As long as Shyamalan is given the shyamashaft, I'm fine with any Avatar movie.

The storyline of this season condensed into a movie might not be that bad, if reconfigured.

If there is a theatrical animated feature I pray Koniezko and Dimartino don't write and just come up with the story. If they do end up writing, they should get some help to strengthen the scripts quality

There not bad writers, but as evidenced with Korra a lot of there solo writing leaves a lot to be desired. The writing for the finale(especially the romance) was pretty bad in some spots, please find a way to bring Aaron Ehasz back on board(though he's still on with Futurama at the moment.)

Though to be fair, George Lucas still makes both of them look like Shakespeare and Tolstoy.

    .

Them making a higher bugeted, condensed retelling of the first book makes no sense since the entirety of Book 1 together is already technically a stand alone film divdied into indiviudal episodes for the Tv format.

A new story makes more sense.

Hmmmm, I'm always wary when things like this are announced, but there are two glimmers of hope for this:

    1. It sounds like they are pushing for animated.
    2. M. Night Shyamalan isn't directing it.

    But I swear to God if they whitewash Korra . . . . . .

That's funny since almost all the Last Airbender/Korra characters are played by white people anyway!(just dickin' around)
Speaking of Mr. ''What a twist!'' I'm wondering when the sequel is coming out.
