As long as the same korean animators from the original series are in on this, it'll be great.

Well, I was sold by the one-inch punch.
Eventually all Shonen will get the Dragonball Kai treatment. I'm currently awaiting the perfection that will be One Piece with no filler whatsoever.

I'm also awaiting Bleach Kai. It will be the greatest joke in anime when it's ends in under 50 episodes. It'll be a great laugh.

Oh that's tricky. Personally, I like OP better - but then Avatar does not have a manga along with the anime (not that I know of, atleast), nor do I lurk around any Avatar community forum.

But Avatar is pretty damn good, if you ask me. I'm no expert at this, but I could not tell that it's actually an American show, and not Oriental.

The Avatar world is awesome, imo. Places are well drawn, and have some logic behind it. Each of the races have certain similarities to one or more historic nations/races (Water Tribe - Eskimos, Fire Nation - Imperialistic China, etc). The martial arts of "bending" is well thought out and well choreographed. I remember reading somewhere, that each of the "bending" techniques is inspired from existing martial arts. Like Water Bending techniques draw heavily from Tai Chi, as it relies on fluid movements and is graceful and soft. Similarly, Fire Bending is based a lot on Kung Fu.

The characters are well developed. The primary character is goofy, childish, naive and idealistic - somewhat like kid Goku from Dragon Ball. The supporting characters are arguably even better - Katara is kinda bore, but Sokka's dry wit is pure win. Not to mention the bundle of awesome that is Toph.

I would say, definitely give it a shot - chances are that you would like it. If in doubt, I guess you can download and watch Sozin's Comet trailer to get an idea on the animation and feel of the show - although that trailer would be spoiler heavy if you have not seen the show.

So I saw an ad for the Last Airbender DVD. Found it appropriate since it was played during the middle of Law and Order: SVU.

Makes me want to rewatch the series all over again.

Just finished watching Season 3 (I was borrowing the series from a friend). My full thoughts of the series is Season 2 and Season 3 were the best seasons of the show.

I really like the characters developments throughout the entire series. I really like how the Zuko's storyline went full circle throughout the series.

I kinda wished they devloped Ty Lee and Mei a little bit, since whenever they appeared on screen they steal the show away from the other characters.

My personal favorite character of the series, Sokka. Even through he is the comic relief character of the show. He had really awesome moments in both action wise and comedy wise.

Two episodes comes in my mind where Sokka was at his best. The episodes were The Chase (which had some of Sokka's best comedy bits) and Sokka's Master (For his action bits).

Other characters that I like Iroh, Azula, Ty Lee, Mei, and Toph.

Well, here is my top 10 favorite episodes of the series, I also add which season the episode is from.

    1. The Chase (Season 2)
    2. Sozin Comet, Part 3 (Season 3)
    3. Sokka's Master (Season 3)
    4. The Storm (Season 1)
    5. The Beach (Season 3)
    6. The Drill (Season 2)
    7. The Tales of Ba Sing Se (Season 2)
    8. Zuko Alone (Season 2)
    9. The Blue Spirit (Season 1)
    10. The Avatar and The Firelord (Season 3)

Honorable mention for these two episodes, "The Blind Bandit" and "The Crossroads of Destiny". These two episodes were really close of being in my top ten episodes, but they got beat out by two also really good episodes.

Overall, great show. It took the show a little bit to get great and awesome. But they build it up really nicely done. I probably going to end up getting the series myself on dvd sooner or later.

Well depending on where you watch it Nicktoons has an "ending" but its just some of the shows backround music and its nothing special at all. On Nick there is no ending.

Avatars opening was good i just wished it could have updated during each season depending on which book is being told.

I noticed a few of you saying that seaon 2 and 3 were better than 1 and that raises a red flag in my mind because in my opinion season 3 was utter trash compared to season 1. Season 2 is no doubt the best season and i have no arguments there. But when i compare episodes like "The waterbending scroll", "The warriors of kyoshi." Heck the first episode, and I can't remember the name but it's the episode right before they reach the northen water tribe they FAR outclass the first 8 episodes of the thrid season.

My biggest gripe with the third season BY FAR is an odd one. I feel like there was TOO much character development going on, when we didnt really need it. Aside from toph, who didnt get all that much development at all, we'd been with the characters for 40 episodes, we basically had their characters down, we knew their motivations, their weakness, and their ideals, Episodes like "Sokka's master", whicherver one where someone ran away(I think it ws toph) and "the painted lady" didnt give us anything NEW(Except the painted lady but i'll get into that next time) on the characters development yet the episode was CLEARLY made for that purpose so i consider it a failure of an episode. Sokka's master of course also had the purpose of giving sokka new battle abilities and giving him is insanely badass sword, ok, but there is only about 5 minutes of training in the episode TOPS, so what was the rest of the episode doing? Nothing thats what.

Anyway thats my opening arguement, i await your rebuttal's, agreements.
