Yeah, that scene was really well done and easily one of the best moments of the season so far.

About Captain Sunshine...
From Jackson Publick's livejournal:
http://jacksonpublick.livejournal.com/27372.html1. Captain Sunshine = NOT an actual pedophile.
I thought that was obvious.
All the innuendo was actually him being super ultra paranoid about yet another Sunshine Boy dying, and that kiss at the end was straight out of Godfather 2.

I was never disturbed, rather him being a pedophile or just made to look like one. Either way the entire episode was a big 22-min long "Gay Superhero with a young sidekick" joke, which has been done to death.
Now we got a feud between the Ventures and Phantom Limbs now. With the more information about the Orb.

Ha ha ha, you know I was thinking that for a moment, but I couldn't be sure. So what happened to Ritchie Valens?
Anyway, this was an awesome episode. My favorite parts were the return of the Phantom Limb (who is now completely off his nut), Billy being inside that burlap sack for most of the episode, the return of David Bowie, and Lady Nightshade turning out to be Dr. Mrs. The Monarch's shoe XD
I hope they do more with the ORB though, even though it turned out that it's been broken this whole. I had such high hopes for a major story arc revolving around it.
I'm just mad that I somehow didn't pick up on the whole Fantomas reference waaaaaay back. >_<

I was wondering when we'd see Phantom Limb again. Very good episode. I loved the council members not knowing where they really were at the beginning.
Wait, so did Jonas Venture get killed over something that didn't even work or was his death a fakeout like his predecessor's?
The Revenge Society was amazing.
"Why can't I hear them?"
"Because you are sane!"
And Revenge's suspicion of Wisdom was brilliant. Let's just say he went out on a limb there *pause for booing*.
The season 3 flashback indicated he was killed by his bodyguard.
This new flashback amended it. His death was faked, and the orb was broken instead. Where he is now... we don't know.
(My personal theory is he's a meber of the Guild of Calamatous Intent, or perhaps even the founder/true leader)
That's not Jonas though, but his father. Well, unless Colonel Venture was his grandfather, which is possible seeing as how the the organization that wound up becoming the Guild of Calamitous Intent was around while Mark Twain was still alive. For Lloyd Venture to be Jonas' dad would require that Jonas be close to sixty when Rusty was a kid and he doesn't seem anywhere near that old.
Who? Jonas? That's possible. Lloyd Venture couldn't be though as Dragoon and Red Mantle are the two oldest members of the Guild. Of course, that might not be right though since another member of The Council of the Thirteen appears to be Doctor Zin and he was probably in his forties when Jonny Quest first aired. Colonel Venture would have to be something like 140 years old to be in the Guild though, which seems a bit unlikely.(My personal theory is he's a meber of the Guild of Calamatous Intent, or perhaps even the founder/true leader)
I'm sorry, but this season just isn't doing it for me so far.
...right. Mix up on my part. My mind combined the two characters for a moment there. I was half asleep when I saw the new episode.
But given that grandpa venture's "death" was different than wha we saw, its easy enough to believe Jonas had a different fate too. Particularly since they've be SO coy about what really happened to him
And as to waht I said before, what I meant to imply is that JONAS Venture is responsible for/on the Guild.
Spoiler:
Given that its one of the biggest ongoing mysteries of the series (Monarch even asked point blank at the start of season 3 and it got brushed aside) it really feels like we eventually have to really earn hat happened to Jonas.
...Unless he was killed over a BROKEN orb, as indicated in the season 3 flashback, and as you mentioned.
Side note. Eventually Future Rusty Venture has to come back in time to try and stop the angels before the appocolypse. They keep tossing that joke out, now its gotta turn real eventually.
If Jonas is still alive, then I'd figure him for the leadership of SPHINX or being the person behind OSI's technology rather than a member of the Guild. He doesn't really strike me as Evil in the Venture universe sense, a colossal jackass, sure, but not evil so to speak.
