Bleach is just full of so much shit. Like, so much shit. This is even worse than 600 BILLION exploding tags. Kubo has just been inflating numbers like they were power levels, and he's ended up with a physical impossibility. I don't they there've been even 20 billion people alive in the total of earth's history, all told.

So.
I was thinking about the arrancars the other day, and their origins. I remembered that gillians are loads of hollows fused together, adjuchas are made up of gillians, and Vastro Lordes of adjuchas.
That has to be a lot of hollows, I thought. That's bound to look bad on the shinigamis record I thought.

So, bored, with time to spare and a calculator at hand, I got to work on just how badly Aizens posse meant SS had screwed up. The result astounded me.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! Brace yourselves, this is the Grand Total Calculation Of Souls Lost Due To SS Incompetence concentrated in Aizens goons alone.

Now, we start at the bottom of the food chain. Gillians are said to be made out of several hundred hollows, so I'm going to assume 500 hollows per average gillian.

Adjuchas are formed by a gillian consuiming other gillians, but we are never told how many. However, Since gillians are made from hundreds of regular hollows and Vastro Lordes from more than 3000 Adjuchas (going by Grimmjows flashback) I think its safe to assume that the individuals required for the Gillian--> Adjuchas step is at the very least the same amount as the hollow--> gillian step.

So, we assume an Adjuchas is made from 500 Gillians, making it a total of 500x500= 250000 hollows pr. Adjuchas.

As mentioned, Grimmjows flashback reveals that consuming 3000 adjuchas- of increasing strength-was insufficient to become a Vastro Lorde. This is another assumption, but to me around 4500 Adjuchas or so doesn't seem out of order to reach VL, considering Grimmjows' Fraccions strenght.
That makes it 1.125 x10^9 Hollows per Vastro Lorde. A lot of you can see where this is going.

Now, Aizens army was made up of the following menos:

38 Gillian (19000 hollows)
Aaroniero (Gillian + 33650 = 34150)

Minimum 18 Adjuchas, including All Fraccion (If GJ's were Adjuchas, the higher ranked espadas' should be too), and 3 Privaron Espada.
Maximum 26 Adjuchas, including Nells Fraccion, Rudobone, the arrancar bitches and some Espada if we go by the minimum Vastro Lorde count (read on).

Vastro Lordes: Kubo said that "most espada were vastro Lordes". This can be intepreted as everyone sans Aaroniero, or just "more than half". Considering his strength Wonderweiss is definetely one, and Luppi and Nell are possibly too.
So, at least 7 Vastro Lordes, and at most 12.

This results in, are you ready for this, a grand total of 7880303150-13306553150 hollows.
Or in other words, a range of around 10 BILLION PEOPLE that shinigami failed to save. 10 BILLION MONSTERS whom the SS failed to take out, even with 2000 year old Yama around. 10 BILLION TIMES the SS has been late for work.

But wait, let's not stop here! Everyone, what does hollows feed on? Souls! Even asuming that a hollow on average only manages to eat one person/shinigami, the amount of souls lost to shinigami incompetence doubles to 15760606300- 27013106300.
Or in other words, almost 30 Billion at the most.

I would like to remind you all that the current population of earth, the highest it's ever been, is about 6,5 billion.

Entire premise of Bleach, I declare you fundamentally, utterly, completely, irrevocably destroyed.

I thought Adjuchas(es?) were just Gillians that had a particular personality/former form float to the top and became stronger that way (i.e., less mindless); I didn't think they were a bunch of Gillians mashed together.

It's true that the base for an adjuchas is formed by a gillian gaining individuality- but that results in it consuming other gillians, thus evolving.

The criticism that SS doesn't do its job would still stand, however: they needed a substitute shinigami? What about the fuckloads of shinigami in Seireitei? They couldn't spare a single one?

Theyre all busy with paperwork, they need all the help they can get!
That gets us to the fact that all dead people are perfectly capable of getting a shinigami education. But shinigami would rather let them rot in the suburbs rather than having everyone enlist and help them with their massive task of MANAGING ALL DEATHS WORLDWIDE.

God, the fact that these guys are "heroes" and will never ever die in fights is just so damn depressing.

Well he basicly said in an interview he "doesn't plan ahead" because it "makes the story fresh". And that he stil has to read past volumes to know what's going on.
