she be the one on the right, that thing wrapped around that hypnotized!Rowan is a part of her.
those two purple dots are basically where he's been bitten and the venom has gone in, thus the hypnotized state . o .~

So I got Sai a while ago with the help of a few tumblr ask accounts and only now am I trying something new with it - lining something I've drawn.
I've tried colouring something I've drawn, but never lined, so I'm lining this, then I MIGHT colour it . o .~
Here's my progress so far (well, the last screenshot I took. I've fully outlined Rowan by this point and am moving onto Buthe, babusa eagle-chwans character . u .)

I'm no art teacher, or no expert but I'll assist.

You have a good idea on anatomy and you can make neat sketches with a pencil(something I can't for my life do without patience and 2 additional hours... seriously... I just want to straight to inks). What you can try for practice is work up on some foreshadowing studies. Believe me. There's a level of depth that can be accomplished there. Even for simple drawings. After getting a good idea what forshadowing is, then go into stuff like anatomy or still life of objects.

If you have any questions, ask away. I've given advice before, but I'm never sure if artists understand me or will actually follow through practicing to tips I hand out. That's honestly the most frustrating part on me. So yeah, if there's anything I confused you about, say you are confused.

I'm derping a little though and my minds like 'Foreshadowing?'
My mind has a feeling it's something to do with shadows (obviously) though it's derping on the rest... it's probably something obvious that'll click. I hope.

This is my first time lining and colouring something on SAI... I think I did rather well for a first time... though the shading on the skin sucks . u .;; I already know that.

Blur tool abuse is rather obvious... especially in the background, the blueness, and the eyes and hair of Buthe. Probably shoulda made the colours darker for the shading since I sued the blur tool to make them blend a bit better and it almost eliminated the shading entirely @ A @ you can just barely see it though... oh well. Something I'll do next time I guess :)
