You have a good idea on anatomy and you can make neat sketches with a pencil(something I can't for my life do without patience and 2 additional hours... seriously... I just want to straight to inks). What you can try for practice is work up on some foreshadowing studies. Believe me. There's a level of depth that can be accomplished there. Even for simple drawings. After getting a good idea what forshadowing is, then go into stuff like anatomy or still life of objects.
If you have any questions, ask away. I've given advice before, but I'm never sure if artists understand me or will actually follow through practicing to tips I hand out. That's honestly the most frustrating part on me. So yeah, if there's anything I confused you about, say you are confused.
