I don't think Legend of Legaia has anything to do with Tri-Ace (correct me if I'm wrong), but I'm glad you brought it up.

I love Legend of Legaia so much. It's an amazing game with a really interesting battle system. Sure, it had flaws, but I shall treasure it forever.

Could swear I remembered a tri-ace logo at the start.

Contrail, I believe. They helped make Skies of Arcadia too, another fantastic RPG.

There it is! I consistently confuse them because of the Con'trai'l. Like some weird-ass trigger.

Level 5 just held a conference in the last few days, and details on the gameplay of the DS version have been revealed (not PS3 yet).

Combat apparently revolves around a Pokemon-like monster system (350 species). My enthusiasm for this game just dropped by half. Fuck Pokemon.

It all depends on the monsters they create.

The Pokemon battle system has been known for for awhile now, wasn't it? Similar to the Monster Team feature in Dragon Quest VIII.

It is a monster capturing game, the gameplay is a lot more simpler then pokemon and the metagame of it is nowhere near Pokemon(people probably don't know anything about Pokemon this days :P).

I played the DS game till the end, its a fun game, the monsters evolutions suck a little though, some of them if I remember well had two types of evolutions but basicly the evolutions almost doesn't change the monster, they get one more horn or something and change colour, etc I really like the monsters and their design but they could have made the evolutions better(maybe in this version they are), anyway for whoever likes Pokemon like games, this is a great game plus the story/scenarios/art/monsters are pretty fun to see, I really like the artwork, I'm also a Level-5 nuthugger so take that into consideration.

    Pokemon X/Y ingame name: Pedro
    3DS FC : 1547 5213 7769 - NNID : SunGodKizaru Switch: SW-7487-5553-2501

I do really hope this comes state side, it certainly looks better than Dragon Quest X by far.

Didn't Level Five have a poll about which one of their games we wanted most in America?
How did Ni No Kuni do?

This looks good and I usually freaking hate cel shaded games(Tales and their stiff looking ugly graphics killed cel shaded RPGs for me forever)

Well, the graphics on the PS3 are better obviously... but apparently the story goes on a lot longer, too.
To support Viz hosting all Jump manga for FREE and day of release, Arlong Park will now support the official release.

Official chapter discussions now start Sundays at Noon, EST.
Please do not post threads when scan sites release their version, and just discuss those releases in the spoiler thread.
