Just saw an ad on Hulu for Community, man it was terrible.


"I thought you had a degree from Columbia"
"Now I have to get one from America."

Random clips of nothing making sense, randomly from Paintball, Space Bus, and first Clip Show.


Knowing where the clips were from, I was still confused by the narrative of the commercial. Though, at the end it was ALL ON HULU... so it probably wasn't trying to get new fans but old ones to buy Hulu. Still terrible.

Community has been moved to Fridays at 8:30 eastern. Its lead in is Whitney.

The ratings are going to drop even more now, as I know very few who actually stay in and watch TV on Friday nights.

This doesn't bode well for an extension beyond the ordered 13.

Community should only be 4 (Full) seasons. It was intended to be a 4 Arc story. I know "Six Season and a Movie" is a fun line, but I would be happy with 4 Seasons and a Mini Comic with the first DVD.

I agree. My only duke with the show about to be cancelled after third was the four season layout. I think every (good) show should get as many seasons as it has mapped out from the start and then end it. No more, no less.

Sadly, all that matters in this world is money and ratings.

Well to be fair, Fringe has had the same treatment and it keeps getting renewed. So there's still a chance it could be renewed again, but again I'm very much into it being a 4 season episode.

This is possibly a very good decision for them though. Sure, Community is leading out of Whitney, but Whitney was started to get passable ratings (by NBC standards) and it's leading into Grimm... on a night of reduced competition.

Chuck pulled around a 0.7 when it was moved to Fridays and it had higher ratings before the move than Community's currently having. NBC is killing it.

Easy ratings boost right there. Get a lot of Who fans watching the show by giving Gillan a small guest star roles in a few episodes. Plus, there are so many easily brilliant ways to work her in.

Who cares if it puts people off anymore, we have our promised four seasons. And this looks pretty darn awesome. :P

Though I hope for next season not every episode will be a concept episode. Perhaps a bit more like latter half season 2.

I keep hoping for the return of the season 1 concept. The last time we saw the group take a new class was in the second episode of the third season. That's a long time ago.

I agree with one part about Chevy's outburst on Harmon. The show is starting to lose it's on focus on the fact that it's taking place on a school. I really don't mind it, but they might as well just be ordinary friends hanging out, the school has gotten completely unnecessary.

Pierce is summoned to Hawthorne Enterprises to discuss his inheritance with his deceased father's former right-hand man, Gilbert Lawson (Giancarlo Esposito). The study group goes with him for moral support and must all pitch in to play the video game of their life on Pierce's behalf – or risk losing his inheritance.

I'm with you all the way. When that article surfaced, while I couldn't sympathize in particular with Chevy, I definitely could agree with him about that. Season 1 was great that way and I am one of those people who think Season 3 - while good in its own right - has lost track of what it used to be completely. My favorite part of the latest episode was actually that we got too see some classes.

However, I chose to write latter half season 2 for my comment, because that's when I think they had the best balance between "normal" episodes and concept ones. I don't think they'll let go of the current show style completely, so I figured that'd be an easier achieved goal. Season 1 style would be ideal.
