Default AL's One Piece Inspired Hats

After a giant fight with my funding, everything is all right for me class-wise and general bills-wise. However my Unemployment and Training Benefits will eventually end.

In which case, I'm planning savings so I can pay for the big things while I look for work.

I'm going to start making One Piece inspired beanie hats.

As an example, I'll list the colors of the Straw Hat pirate inspired beanies first.

    Straw Hat Colors:

    Hidden:
Luffy: Autumn Red, Black, Autumn Maize

    Zoro: Black, Pistachio, Grey Heather

    Nami: Melon, Pistachio

    Usopp: Black, Autumn Maize, Chocolate

    Sanji: Black, Autumn Maize, Celestial

    Chopper: Soft Pink, Chocolate

    Robin: Orchid, Violet, Black

    Franky: Blue Mint, Autumn

    Brook: Black, White, Bone

If you have another idea of what colors would better suit the Straw Hats or would like a hat inspired by another character other than a Straw Hat, please, list the colors you would like. It would help me even more if you listed colors from www.caron.com from their Simply Soft yarns as these are the yarns I plan to use for all hats.

    Prices:

    Hats made with:

    1 color: $4

    2-3 colors: $5

4+ colors: additional $2 for every extra color

If you would like character names or pirate/marine/Impel Down symbols on them, it will be an extra $2 to $4 depending on the complexity of the name/design.

    Shipping:

I can ship up to 3 hats for $5, thus for every 3 hats, it's $5.

    Production:

I can crochet a hat in one to two days, depending on time permitted by classes. I will contact you if there will be a delay, or if there are any other issues concerning yarn availability.

I will NOT make hats with the One Piece logo on them.

If you'd like more examples of my work, you can check my Sexy Frills thread in the Cosplayer sub-forum.

Yes - I don't want to steal the One Piece logo or anything like that. Though I can add Robin's flag if you'd like. It would just cost ... for hers $2.

Got paypal? PM me your e-mail with that, and we can exchange stuffs.

If you want a beanie, tell me now.

XXX Also, I recently found out how small those small-rate boxes are for shipping, so I can only fit up to 3 hats per box.

XXX And as a warning, the color for Franky, Blue Mint, is apparently darker than the color shown. It's more of a turquoise/teal color than I thought. (You'd think the caron site itself would showcase their colors better.)

How much would a hat with Frankys hair color and his blue star on it be?

Wow, I might've missed this if I hadn't just gotten home.

1 color is $4 plus $2 for the star design, and then $5 for shipping. So $11 all together.

Also, again, I tried to match the above color to Franky's hair, but it's much more teal. I may have to find a baby blue color instead.

    Either Soft Blue here:

    Or Light Country Blue:

I'll have to find them in store however as now I can't trust their images for actual color.

Is there no way for you to take pictures of what you have and upload them? So wait you don't have any darker blues than those?

I can take pictures, but I wasn't sure about the lighting in my room, but it seems better to do that than rely on caron.com now.

I do not have some of the colors in the first post - I would have to go out and buy the yarn in store, and see the actual color to make sure it's what I'd need.

Which reminds me, I have learned to do another kind of hat, but it's more on the girlie side if any chicks are interested.

To clarify on colors, I will list the colors to explain what I do and don't know about their appearance:

    Hidden:
The Autumn red is a bit darker than this, and richer in appearance:

You can't go wrong with Black:

This is exactly what Autumn Maize looks like if not better:

Pistachio is basically the same if a little darker:

Melon is mellower than this, but it's still pretty orange:

Chocolate is a tad darker than this image:

Soft Pink looks exactly like this:

I have some Orchid right now, and it's less pink and more lavender than this image:

    White is white:

Bone is lovely, but lighter than this:

I'm not actually sure I've seen Celestial, but there are quite a few dark blues I've seen that would still work great.

I have not seen Grey Heather myself, and don't know whether it's lighter or darker, but it still might be a safe bet:

I might have to search a bit for Violet, as I don't recall seeing many darker purples like this:

Blue Mint is much darker than this - it wouldn't match Franky's hair at all:

For Autumn here, I may just have to order it from online and hope for the best as I've never seen Caron's Shadows line in store:

I do, only thing I don't want to crochet is the One Piece logo itself.

Just keep my prices above in mind.

Yes, that's fine with me. I have two different Beanie's that I would like. Both hats would only be using two colors, Autumn Red & Black. So that's like $5 for two colors + $3/$4 for design complexity + $3 for shipping x 2 = $22, correct?

It's $5 for shipping, but yes, if the design was complicated enough to be $4, they'd be $22 all together.

Okay, that's fine then. I already have the first Custom Design ready but the second one is bitch to try and draw on MS Paint. They're both about 70% the same though.

Okay, the first one is this:

    Hidden:

Two-Color Black Beanie Hat with the only Autumn Red being the Tenryuubito Symbol in the front center of the hat. The Second Beanie Hat is Exactly the same as the first except for this red spiky crown thing that I would like above it, which I am trying to draw right now in MS Paint.

    Thoughts?

They'd be separate pieces from the hat itself which I'll connect, but that's easy. $2 extra for that. Circles are the easiest things to do.

I'd have to experiment a bit, but they shouldn't be too hard at all. All together is just $2 for the designs on that hat.

Okay, I'll just draw the next beanie hat design on paper instead of on MS Paint because it's easier. Can you wait a bit?
