remember that one picture I posted outlines of with that stupid hand that just looked wrong?
Well, the hand is still wrong but I decided (after over half a year) to not give a fuck and finish it.
Spoiler:
I'm working on a Princess Peach Punk Version for a contest on deviantart atm. Hohohoho, can't wait to see how this will turn out.

Looks great! :D Face is a tiny bit long but is an old piece so whatever. I wonder who Dave is though~
Yeah, I noticed the face thingy. maybe putting her eye a bit more down would have helped but good ol laziness kept me from doing so XD~
And who dave is, I explained you on irc :3
Thanks for your comment <3
Here's another finished old art
sketch existed already last year and I did the outlines and the coloration today~
Spoiler:
So no, has nothing to do with my current mood ;P
Ah, I enjoy drawing again~ Hopefully this sudden wave stays longer than the last time. But unfortunately school will start again on monday*sighs*
And another one. Most of the Outlines are from December.
It's Virginia this time~
Only drew her so I could draw the Shirt Design idea.
Spoiler:
Heart'n'Skull is the name of my future fashion brand.
I know that there's a CD Label from Alkaline Trio with the same name. But I WANT this name, dammit! lol
Vorlianis said that her chin looks very manly...?
for a portfolio of one of my classes.
Spoiler:
printing it out on colored paper (skin should stay white)
The skirt is the skirt I'm gonna sew at the end of this semester. (the back of the skirt is actually more interesting but who cares.)

Some of you wanted to see my Portfolio I had to make for one of my classes. (I had to make 2 portfolios for 2 different classes. This here is the interesting one)
So, we had to create 2 skirt, one of them we will actually sew.
My topic was "YOUNG, WILD & FREE"
But my actual, hidden topic were the colors Black, pink & orange XD
The rest I explain to the pictures.
First of all. The cover and content (I did both in one, which was ok) and on the right the target audience (= the people I want to wear the skirts)
Spoiler:
Points:
Cover 4/5
Contents 4/5
Target audience 5/5
I admit that my cover is pretty lousy, so I'm ok with the points.
Next: Inspirational collage.
What inspired me to these skirts?
Spoiler:
I only got 7/10 points. I asked her why, she said nobody can understand it. It would be too crazy and it's hard for the viewer to get into it.
WHAT THE FUCK. I told her "You do realise my topic was Young, wild & free? I can't actually stick a picture of a girl sleeping in the grass. My topic is crazy and I was inspired by a million different things and that's exactly what you see there!" But no, she won't give me more points. She doesn't like the collage. I fuckin used so much shit and I followed every tip she gave us. That we should use different materials and shit. I even fuckin used Nail polish!
Yeah well.. I actually thought it's the best collage...
Let's go on, shall we?
My color collage.
Spoiler:
8/10
she said "that certain something" is missing. She was expecting "more". Wtf. It's a fuckin colour collage. In shape of a union jack. And again I used different materials to please her and IT'S STILL NOT ENOUGH???
Fashion drawing from the first skirt and second skirt
Spoiler:
14/15
13/15
it's "too manga".
Shall I add that EVERYONE ELSE from the class just copied and traced already existing fashion figurines and just put their clothes on them? Some didn't even do the back drawing or shadows and light but they still got the same amount of points as me! ME WHO DRAW IT ALL ALONE WITHOUT REFERENCE, WITHOUT TRACING OR COPYING ANYTHING.
I might scan these two later, so you can get a better view.
and last my technical drawings.
Spoiler:
14,5/15
14,5/15
And then I got 4/5 points for the "running thread". The overall look of my map. Funny how she told me when I was worried that I don't have a thread, she said "your colours already are enough." Seems it wasn't.
So in the end I have 88/100 points, which is a damn B, 3points missing to the A.
We only had 4 As in the class. Lots of people were telling me I deserve an A and I would have deserved it to have my portfolio hung up on the school walls. But no, I'm not allowed to. While others, who never made full back drawing of their figurine, will get hung up. Yep, thanks. All my hard work was for fuckin nothing. Like always.
I'm really pissed about it all.
These are good grades though (in my opinion).
Great work, it's really cool :)
★ Stuff for Sale ★
Not for nothing. You've got a very good sense of fashion and no grades can take that from you. Just keep at it and don't let the small stuff get you down. I personally enjoyed all of it, especially your collage. I don't know what she means by "nobody will get it". I'm a 21-year-old borderline-autistic American male with no sense of style whatsoever and I think I understood it pretty clear: you're a sponge of inspiration inspired by so much from such a wide worldview that expecting anything less than pure chaos from you is asinine.
You're amazing at what you do, Sabsy, and no sub-outstanding grade can take that away from you. Keep doing what you're doing, because you're doing it well. :D
This looks awesome.
I can only imagine how long that must have taken to do. Ii have to say I'm really impressed <3 I can guess the color schedule you've got for them all. (black and pink~)
All the hard designs, practice and skills you've learnt will be awesome on your cv and for other cool stuff at home. You can design our curtains and I'll make the furniture. Lol
But yeah on a serious note, don't bash yourself over a B. it was worth an A and just cme down to bad luck I guess. Still you are awesome in my eyes babe.
*smothers you in affection*
Yeah, I have no idea why your instruction gave you a B, because this looks really good to me, especially your color palette. I like rich, vivid colors mixed with black, and I think your design looks young, fresh, and hip. I'm no fashion scholar, but I can at least give you a consumer's opinion, which is "I would buy and wear that." Because I would! I hope you feel proud of your work, despite your instructor's opinion. Fashion is a highly subjective area, and your talent doesn't begin or end with her grade. Your work and your effort speaks for itself. It looks great, Nami.
And on a side note, I hate vague, open-ended criticism like "I expected more" and "something's missing." If an instructor can't back that up by giving specific examples of how the design can be improved, how do they expect their students to learn? I'd take any undefined criticism like that with a grain of salt.
a mood come alive.
Art teachers/instructors/professors tend to be biased against the manga/anime art style, and almost always assume whatever you draw in that style is simply a copied character from a manga artist. From the few teachers/professors I had, I learned that most aren't against it, but want to encourage kids to grow out of this style and create a style of their own, and it's also partially because it's hard to shift from general manga anatomy into the "realistic anatomy studied in class.
I personally always kept my manga style for my personal sketchbooks alone, and I was forced to ditch it once I decided to pursue art as a career, so now my realistic style is a lot more developed than my anime style.
All insights aside, your project was worth an A, even if you took away the anime style of it, it was still an A effort. You've most likely run into a biased instructor who chooses to mark based off of personality, which I've seen a lot of before...and I'm not saying myself, I know for a fact I have fellow art class students who have done great work, but were given sour marks because of their all around attitude or personal preferences.
Oh god, dammit, I'm terrible when it's about replies!
Just to let you know, I've read all your posts and some even brought me to tears and I'm very very thankful for all your nice replies. They mean so much to me, you have no idea!
Your posts definitely helped me to keep my self esteem up, thank you! :)
Here are the scanned versions of my fashion drawings I did for the map.

Spoiler:
so much to fix!
Had a sudden urge to draw yesterday night, so I started this
