Thread: Question about the music on the DVD's...

  1. #1

Default Question about the music on the DVD's...

The Funimation DVD's feature the Rondo Robe logo at the beginning of each episode. Does anyone know the title and artist of the song playing during this sequence from episode 92 onward?

It's an upbeat pop-rock song, male vocalist. Normally I would just google the lyrics but I'm having trouble distinguishing the vocals from the instrumentation.

Anyone have any idea what it is?

Sorry, should have been more specific. On the Funimation DVD releases of OP, before the opening of each episode, the company logos for Rondo Robe, Funimation, and Tokyo Broadcasting Systems, are shown in sequence with a Japanese song playing in the background. For episodes 1-70something, the song was 'Sanctuary' by Tamaki Nami; and for episodes 70something-91, it was some taiko song. I was hoping that someone who had the DVDs or knew what I was referring to could identify the song played during this logo sequence from episode 92 onward...?

No, Sanctuary by Nami Tamaki was used as the opening for the anime Kiba. I don't know what you're watching.

Again, I'm NOT talking about the actual opening of One Piece, I'm talking about a sequence that happens BEFORE the opening of the episodes on the DVDs. Like I said, the logos for Rondo, Funimation, and TBS are shown with music playing in the background, THEN the episode opening begins.

I'm fully aware that 'Sanctuary' was the opening for Kiba and not OP, however both shows are distributed by Rondo Robe in Japan, so I'm guessing that the song I'm referring to is from another Rondo anime. (On Rondo's DVD releases, they show their logo, accompanied by a song from one of their animes, before each episode as well).

Anyway, if anyone can put their hands on the One Piece DVDs (or perhaps even the Japanese DVDs) and tell me what song is playing during the Rondo logo before the opening of episode 92, I'd appreciate it. (And if still absolutely no one has any idea what I'm talking about, I apologize for wasting the thread).

One Piece is by Toei.....not this Rondo Robe you're talking about.

Rondo Robe manufactures and markets the One Piece DVDs in Japan (and several other animes, like Kiba and Naruto). Toei produces the actual show itself. Since Rondo holds the home distribution rights, Funi has to licence their DVDs cooperatively, hence why Rondo's logo appears as I said.

Regardless, I just followed another tip and found what I was looking for, so... nevermind. Thanks anyway.

Please don't make threads based around questions that won't really create discussion.
