From Stanton's Twitter:
Didn't you all learn from Chicken Little? Everyone calm down. Don't believe everything you read. Nothing to see here now.#skyisnotfalling
Maybe no Nemo 2 after all.

blue sky saysSources are reporting that scribe Victoria Strouse (The Apostles of Infinite Love - Black List 2008), has been hired by the Mouse to write the script based on Stanton's idea. It looks like they're aiming for a 2016 release date.
also, even if it's TRUE that Stanton is thinking about Nemo 2, it's still in the pre-preproduction phase. it's possible he could easily change his mind and pixar wouldn't be any worse for the wear
honestly though, i'd donate $50 for the lot of them to sit down and have another 'lunch' to come up with new junk
there's this from CB comemnts
Haha, this is hilarious.
Was visiting my animator buddy at Pixar today. This rumor is totally false. Some of the guys are annoyed, but some of them think it’s hilarious and are going with it. Pixar announces it’s upcoming projects for the next 4-5 years at the annual Disney shareholders meetings. This information is easily found online.

Why the heck even do sequels at all. We've gotten two in the past few years. A prequel coming up. Just come up with something else. Hell I'll settle for an adapation of something.
i like brook he gives me a bone-er haha skull joke
The thing about Toy Story 3 is that there has been a constant theme throughout all the films, something everyone who watched them knew would eventually happen.
...And that's the plot of Toy Story 3. Andy's days with his toys has ended...what happens to them?
Whilst with Finding Nemo for example...there's not really anything to work with really. The film did everything it acheived and left nothing really to expand on.
My biggest hang up on a Nemo sequel is the fact they had a 'The End' at the end

Brenda Chapman resigned from her post at Pixar at the end of July. She's now working on an unannounced Lucasfilm Animation project as a consultant.
Yikes.
Oh well. I think its best that she and Pixar go different ways.
Interesting.
Though I am curious what this LucasArts project is. Most likely something to do with Clone Wars, unless it has something to do with the unannounced FPS game that's being talked about.

The only projects under the Lucasfilm Animation banner so far have been The Clone Wars-related so it's probably a Lucasfilm/LucasArts project. Then again, it could be the next ILM film coming out as a Lucasfilm Animation film rather than Nickelodeon Studios like Rango did.
lol, that is maybe slightly more possible but still as unlikely as my secret hope of Timothy Zahn's novels ever getting made into something.

First clip from the new Toy Story short! Starring Rex and a bunch of bath toys.
Two more bits of Pixar news!
First is a drop from Billy Crystal to part of the plot of Monsters U:

And next is, apparently, yeah, Finding Nemo 2 is coming?

No i'm pretty sure most of the things lucasfilm has touched in the past decade or so has been awful, especially the films that were put out. I liked the original clone wars a lot but even that had faults which were completely blameless on tartokovsky (who still managed to do a lot of great things) and more to do with the source material. Nothing they did is even comparable with the KOTOR especially in terms of writing so I'd rather they keep their claws off that gem.
I love you, but you don't know what you're talking about.
Have you seen the current show? It's pretty good, despite being stuck with the worst part of the franchise's story to set their timeline in.
