I'm going to remain skeptical until I can actually play it for myself, but I have to admit it's all looking REALLY REALLY good.

The problem is that Invisible War looked pretty good as well, and it wasn't until you saw how cramped and simplistic the environments were that it dawned on you how much worse of a game it was.

I played the tutorial of the original Deus Ex, though it didn't really seem like my type of game. I'll probably get around to playing it eventually. I didn't really like Invisible War, though I've heard that Deus Ex fans didn't like it either.

This game does look cool, though.

Wake up Deus Ex fans!! Wake the FUCK up!

I'm sure some of you may have seen this by now. But here's some leaked footage of the game in beta status. (wrapped the vid in spoiler tags since it's an HOUR long).

    Spoiler:

As the title says, it's a whole hour of DE:HR. The beginning and the first mission. If yah wanna skip the opening story stuff, go to around the 20 minute mark for the first assignment.

This demonstration has got it all. Stealth, shooting, close quarters takedowns, and dialogue choice options (morality, etc..)

I'm impressed so far. The game looks really really promising to me. It's giving me the vibes I got from the first games, yet obviously very up to date. I enjoy exploring an nice sized environment, giving me more insight towards my ultimate objective. I cannot wait to get to some of the cities (reminds me a bit of Mass Effect 2 in some ways. Even though Deus was doing this back on the ps2).

In fact... I think if yah liked ME:2, then you should definitely check this one out. Part of why no one really talks about it is cause it's just not that popular.

It's popular among PC gamers the first game anyway.

Looks like Metal Gear Solid and Mass Effect had a first-person baby. Not a bad thing at all.

whoop whoop awesome, this looks in my eyes like a better version of MassEffect 2 in every aspect (..well except character creation)

But if I were a security expert I wouldn't let a ventilation shaft directly bypass my big ass security door ^^.

On another note I fear this will be one of those games where I can't play the evil path.. I mean the non reasonable.

I like the setting of the game. It's like Perfect Dark without the aliens, and Ghost in the Shell. I'm not digging the whole genetic altering abilities thing though. It's a device that seems a far bit overused. The main character talks and seems a bit bland, but maybe he'll grow on me if I play it. That controlled scene with the hostage looked very engaging. Another small gripe is the liners used by enemies. They seem very stereotypical and overly recycled. That and the AI seems questionable(the sniper scene for example... shouldn't they like... panic and look for cover?)

This is a bit more complex than Perfect Dark, really. The original is still considered one of the best games ever, or, at least one of the best FPS ever. Not saying that means this will be as good, though, but it's something to think about. I can't truly speak for the game since I don't know much about it and am only going by various opinions and reviews I've read.
    I'm in a good mood.

I was more talking about the setting. Like the city, technolgy, the mood, ect. Perfect Dark was really simplistic, even though the written summaries were good stuff. That, and I never heard of this series though. I'd probably give it a go so I can have a better idea.

I downloaded the first one yesterday. I just need to get adjusted to the controls... The default ones are kinda bad in conjunction with the mouse.

Just pre-ordered this game for my brother's birthday. I bought Invisible War when that came and quite liked it so I thought I should get this one, looks really good so far anyway.

My game journalist buddy has had this for a few weeks now and I had a go just after he got it. Seemed pretty damn cool. Much better than I thought it would be since I really wasnt into the first two.

With any luck he'll bring it up tomorrow and I'll play through the entire thing.
