I hear more than tempo but editing is all about tempo. You can't have a fast paced vid to a slow song.............go watch a fast action trailer, mute it, and replace it with a slow song. Watch how crappy it looks in comparison.

NEWSFLASH: Making a music video is about more then editing. Oh what? That's all you know how to do? You don't know how to explore options and choose for mood and quality? Then you are a shitty music video maker.

Also I'm not sure when you two got it into your heads that I said something like "DONT USE FAST MUSIC" because I never at any point even so much as suggested that.

I also posted an action packed AMV with a song that was both slow and quiet (until the end), and it is was amazingly good.

Maybe you would know all this if you actually read any of my posts.

Ummmm? What? Making a music video is about more than editing? No, that's what a music video IS: A video source edited to an audio source. You seem to classify "editing" as fast paced, action vids. Any AMV is edited and editors use the music to set the mood for the vid. It's just that most editors use fast, hard rock as opposed to say.........soft country.

I apologize if you think I'm attacking you for saying "don't use fast songs". I was saying that most of the songs/artists you (probably) don't like make for good action music. Since most editors nowadays are all about action then those songs are used more.

I listen to every type of music and love it all but that's just it: If I wanna listen to a song I'll listen to it. When I watch an amv I wanna see music fitting the editing. The editor can use one of my favorite songs of all time (The Flame by Cheap Trick) but if the editing is crap then it's pointless.



I've watched amvs where I hate the song but love the video and I've watched amvs where I've loved the song but hated the video. Unless you can mash the audio and video together then you're using good music just to use good music.

And from that day forward, the poor, wrecked being, who some had referred to as Silvers Rayleigh, was revealed for the sham it always was. it was no Rayleigh, for Rayleigh probably listened to good music. Without its identity, the wrecked existence was nothing, nothing but a bare, voiceless shell in a digital sea. It convulsed a series of incoherent, faulty words, that seemed to defy all forms of reason, and then, it was nowhere, a barren wasteland, devoid of any sort of life. It did not know what was happening, but its raw instincts told it that it was by no means in a good place. There were no action points in this place, it sensed that immediately. Even if there were, there were no action scenes to put to them, and without those two vital things, it could not even sustain itself. It wasn't its fault that it ended up where it was, some have argued that its twisted path to ruin was more a product of its environment in its earlier stages of life. But no matter what the cause, there was no redemption for it. It wandered, desperately, feeling all emotion draining from it, as it scrambled for something real it could attach itself to. But everything it touched faded away, as though they were intangible. The being continued to ramble towards further nowhere, realizing that somehow, it had made a mistake. It tried its best to justify itself, crying out its false beliefs towards the empty sky, attempting to prove that it was not wrong. The being did not realize this, its own deepening insanity lead it to believe that the credibility was going closer to it, as if the weak, pathetic creature was perpetually only seconds away from finding salvation from its nightmare. It was doomed to perform its strange dance for all eternity, always only imitating motion, without ever actually moving. Just like the infinite number of lost souls just like it, in their own separate hells, that were just like that wasteland.
