Sure, it's stupid. But you want to make sure.
I think it's a given that if you watch either HYBRID or Hornets, you're bound to get some paranoia.

For example, I cannot stay in places with lots of trees for long anymore.

I'm a little paranoid too. When I walk the dog at night or take out the trash I often imagine the Operator standing somewhere staring at me.

Oh, and I saw a bald guy in a suit a few days ago and it scared the shit outta me. However, he had a friendly face and there were a lot of people around (it was in a crowded train). If I saw that guy at night with no one around I'd probably run.

    Entry 34 and Fragments...

Interesting. I was fully expecting Masky to pop out in that house. But he didn't. Oh well.

But Damn. Where does this guy find all these places to shoot this thing. Is there really a house like that just chilling in the middle of nowhere?

And @Paranoia talk: I was really paranoid when I watched the first 23 entries together in the summer for the first time. After that, not so much. Except for when I try to sleep after watching an entry.

And if you watch both, empty buildings and woods are now uncomfortable places.

Anyway, #34 was really uneasy to watch. As I do with most entries, I sat there and was practically begging Slendy to pop out. Sadly, my cries of "COME AT ME, SLEND" were a waste, but I jumped so hard at every noise.

If I'm alone in my apartment I usually don't have lights on anywhere. Now usually it's no problem for me to walk around in pitch black darkness, but from time to time I feel uneasy and jump at noises such as my speakers catching static.

Some months ago when there wasn't any snow on the ground yet, I went jogging alone in the evening. It was already that time of year when daylight would slip away earlier and earlier, but I was stubborn and wanted to do it. I jogged in the dusky woods for an hour and even with my iPod on the whole time I was paranoid as all hell. In the more thicker areas of the forest barely any light filtered through the trees and I couldn't look at them, imagining how something tall and suited would peek from behind one.

Now why did I feel the need to type that JUST before planning to go to bed?

Heh. I've watched both HYBRID and Hornets. I find Hornets to be scarier (though, the Rake is pretty creepy in HYBRID), but I like HYBRID's characters a lot.

And I couldn't stay in areas with lots of trees for a long time BEFORE learning of Slenderman. Now pretty much confirms it.

And I have a large forest in my backyard with skinny trees and everything.

The night/before you go to bed is always when the worst thoughts come to mind.

I just watched the entire series for the first time back-to-back yesterday evening.

I believe they've contributed to what is probably without a doubt, the worst night of sleep I've ever had in my life.

I kept waking up every few minutes, imagining I saw something moving just beyond of my field of vision.

Fuck long skinny trees, fuck partially-open doors, fuck any and all masks, pipes, abandoned houses, static, and bald men in suits.

In short, good stuff. Off to watch EverymanHYBRID next.

Thanks so much for that, guys. Pardon me while I go seal myself up in a closet now.

Sorry, Dervish. Enjoy HYBRID. They succeed in entertaining you between scares. They came up with the bright idea to have scares while they're doing stuff.

Things get series by Episode 6 though.

.......The day I saw it, I didn't want to look down a hallway toward an open door for the rest of the day.

No prob and they certainly do. I watched the first 5 and thought, "lol, well this is...kind of terrible, but at least the actors are personable enough."

    Then I saw episode 6.

    And...yeah.

I'll watch the rest later tonight.

    Hidden:
I like the concept that, by simply knowing about the Slenderman, they inadvertently drew him to them. Scary.

Dammit. I just rewatched Episode 6.

Now, I'm downstairs, alone, downloading music. When I have to turn off all the lights downstairs, I'm going to be running upstairs once every light is off.

EDIT: Just got upstairs. I wandered downstairs holding my philosphy textbook as a weapon thinking, "If any masked guy or Slender Man comes even close to me, I'm shoving this Critical Thinking textbook so far up his ass, he'll have to shit sideways!"

Dervish sent me a couple YouTube links to this series.

It seems pretty "meh" to me.

What's so scary about it? Besides random niggas stalking you?

Yeah, tell me about it. I usually avoid watching or listening to anything scary during night-time, because I'm more than capable of thinking about that stuff myself. Basically I make sure that I always a) watch when it's bright b) keep the cursor on the volume bar in case of DERP LOUD STATIC and c) watch something funny afterwards.

Just make sure that it's properly locked...

Actually I had a bit of a crappy night too when I went to sleep after writing about that traumatizing jogging event. Around half past 3am or something the doorbell rang and whoa did I flinch in my bed. The person who did it went away, but no matter how stupid it sounds, for one second I honestly thought something had come to get me. I imagined how the door would open and creak despite it being locked and how my room door wasn't locked and wouldn't provide any obstacle. Took me a while to calm myself down and fall asleep.

I dunno, the whole concept of an ominous presence stalking you really gets to me. And it doesn't require any specific environment or people; it can haunt you anywhere you are no matter who you are, even in your own house. And when everyday life starts to lose its apparent safety, that's where the fear kicks in. Might not be the best answer there is, but that's why it makes me scared anyway.

    Oh...oh my god...

    Did that....did that just happen?

I am so confused right now.

    Spoiler:
    Did someone just kill Masky?

EDIT: Okay, from what I'm reading...
The people in the video are Jay, Alex, and Tim. Tim is Masky.
Jay was against killing Tim, but Alex attacked anyway. People are arguing on whether Tim is dead. Either way, Masky is actually alive.

This video was from the past. This is the video found within the safe of the hotel, that clearly Masky did not want him to have. So if anything:
    a) Tim is Masky
    b) Tim WAS Masky, Tim was killed, and now someone else is Masky.

DOUBLE EDIT: I don't think Tim is dead, myself. Just before he drops the rock, Alex says, "This is so he doesn't follow us". This most likely means he slammed the rock into his leg, severely injuring him and preventing him from following.

It would also explain Masky's limp in #33. It could also explain the bloody rock from #29. Boy am I reading into this story.

    Insider, I think you're right.
Tim is definitely still Masky. Same jacket, sideburns, and body size as when he appears in the hotel.
And, yup, now we know why he has a limp.

Right, who's Tim again? Was he one of the actors in J's original film project?

Tim was one of the actors of the movie. Jay interviewed Tim when he began his search for Alex in Entry #15. Tim was also in Entry #17 in plain view the entire time, but with Slender Man behind the window watching the entire thing.

Ah, okay. I understand now, Thanks.

Well this newest entry was good, albeit short.

This video was a good ol' fashioned mindfuck.
I was watching early for the first time with some friends, and we said "HOLY SHIT!" when Masky popped out.
God, this is the best thing currently on YouTube.
