How Nami,Usopp etc look when they see how easy the Kraken destroys it, and after that Zoros comment on the crew going up..hehe.

Iam a bit wondering if we will even see the crew in the next time on FI..seems like they will appear later when the SHs are already a day or more on the island..means Caribou will stay with them a bit.

That might be the case. But if the rubber is hardening, isn't it more like DF related than haki? Or can haki be used to affect own DF powers?

Maybe the black/shaded looking color is the actual color of the Color of Armaments, to me Sengoku's DF power looked a lot like this so they could be related...

i think haki can also influence DF powers. or even greatening the haki coz of the devil fruit powers. just like mantra of enel is even more emplified coz of his DF. If this is the case this Haki thing should be reaaaally interesting!

What's the logic in Luffy's hand turning into black by Color of Armaments?

It's probably Luffy making a different use of the Armament Aspect, specifically to harden his arm hence the change in color. Rayleigh did say the both it and the Observation Aspect are very broadly categorized into those two so getting better with them is all about making them into your own. Coming up with ways to creatively utilize Ambition to become stronger makes sense.

Anyway I'm guessing Luffy added that on because of how the sea still has an effect on him as a Power User similar to when grabbing Sanji earlier. He has to make up the lack of speed with even more power, which hardening the arm does in conjunction with the size and strength given when using Gear: 3rd.

I realy enjoyed this chapter. We finally got to see what Franky, Chopper, Nami and Robin can do in a battle (or escaping from a kraken).

The sea is a scary place. I can't wait to see it in anime.
