Is it too hard to ignore threads you're not interested in and let them die by their own?

I don't mind the enormous boobs so much as the almost non-existent mid-section.

    Does need more sam'iches though.

No, this thread is actually about talking what fans think of how Oda depicts women in OP. There has been some complain in another thread that started to disrupt the discussions there...

Jeez, if there really was something to complain, fine... But some only seem to have problems with how Oda designs female characters, as if smart and strong women weren't allowed to look good and actually have big boobs that resist gravity.

And it's not like there was a lot of different "food" out there they could "eat".

Episode 173 seemed super fanservicey. I think it should be rewatched.
I also wish that Nami after the timeskip still had an impact dial. If Usopp could use it on Luffy injured and before the time skip, she should be able to use it after the time skip.

But that is fanservice from the TV show. Oda didn't have anything to do with it. Look it up in chapter 263.

I was mainly referring to her straddling his face, and the heart popping up and all.

Longer legs, smaller head compared to the torso, longer abdomen and longer arm limbs are the most commonly found among the slender types in the manga (not counting the uh... various breast sizes). The clothes look a tad less revealing when the proportions are shrunk to normal.

The first image is an official scan of the manga. The second one is a Photoshop edit that fits closer to the 'realistic' proportions of an adult woman. Note that I haven't changed the boob size, but there's a noticeable difference in sex appeal, I would think. The second one looks more restrained and less 'out there' compared to the first version, but it definitely lacks Oda's graceful style that the normal proportions could never attain.
I completely agree about the proportions of women being screwed up. In that picture of Boa, shes actually 9 head length long, maybe 9.25-10 if her legs weren't spread apart. The adjust Photoshop version you did was 8 head lengths long.

If anyone doesn't know about life drawing or idealized human proportions from ancient artists. The most average human (now a days) is about 7.5-7.5 head lengths long. A few ancient sculptures were made with 8-8.5 head lengths long by various artist to be within the mathematical golden ratio.

The way Oda draws the womans proportions goes way over even the golden ratio of idealized human proportions. As an artist stand point, I only read the manga for the story and the creativity into the character designs. Oda's female characters may not be the most beautiful, but he puts a lot into them to make them work.

And that is exactly the part where the anime exaggerated. Her crotch didn't come that close to ??tori's face in the manga.

The women can get away with hitting their male crewmates. This is the only thing I don't like about one piece (but it doesn't seem to happen as much)

As for fanservice, it's not the worst thing in the world, but I could do without it. When I want sexual titillation I'll go find real porn.

So you'd like to see the men physically abuse the women?

Would be difficult to see it in a humorous way.
