England will deport Assange to Sweden
The US will extradite Assange
The other people affiliated to Wikileaks are liable too
Assange is worthy of the death penalty
People will die as a result of the leaks
Wikileaks has helped the world voice its concerns regarding freedom of speech
Wikileaks is Good
Wikileaks is Evil
Send palin, huckerbee and dragonpiece to the centre of the sun.
This doesn't matter remotely here. We're not talking about the 5 minutes rage you have when someone smashed threw away your lunch. This is a politician wanting someone who leaked informations to die because
1) it puts peoples life in danger <--- highly controversial
2) it will take decades to rebuild the relationship <--- how is that an argument for death penalty?
I didn't even know that someone putting your career in danger deserves the death row. Good to know that this can be used as an argument.and its because of assange's misplaced and misguided desire for transparency in EVERYTHING that will put peoples' lives and careers in danger.
What's wrong with revealing information that was fairly obvious (there have been plans for when north korea collapses onto itself??? NO WAI)?
Hell, it's not like they leaked something access codes for nukes or the location of the US's secret mecha-factory in Taiwan.
Also, please tell us more about how the NAACP doesn't care about white people.
Well, granted that was the case.
Still doesn't change the fact that we have an idiot who released a prisoner because he found Jesus (that prisoner went on to murder some cops in the state of Washington) who thinks he's in a position to judge when something endangers lives when he did the same thing himself.
On the topic of Assange not revealing anything new: I heard that in this recent case, his information might actually be costing people (and by that I mean banks, corporations, etc.) money. As in, he has dirt on them that if made official might result in them losing a profit. That's apparently a lot worse than losing face.
What is pwngoat avatar doing in a topic for grown-ups???
"The common man is the most powerful man. Long live the proletariat."
People who is new to the Internet often spout the word troll without even knowing what it means, and are attracted to terribly unfunny meme like pwngoat.

This is probably the most hideous article I've found on this subject so far. And it's truly laughable when you think about the role The Washington Post has played in the watergate affair.

However once I started reading the comments on the article and realized how few supported what Mr Thiessen wrote I got a bit of a grin on my face.

I just stared at this part for a while.US diplomats cautioned against an "overreaction"

One of Holland's most watched political talkshows had a guest who throroughly explained how to take down Mastercard, as well as telling the watcher to take down Twitter (as they ignore the Wikileaks trend).
