In no particular order.

1. Marineford: I really loved how Oda brought in characters and plots since the start of the series, plus it was just one hell of a amazing and emotional arc.

2. Water Seven: Oda really cleared my doubts I was having coming out of Skypeia and Davy Back. Probably one of the most "what's gonna happen next?" stories One Piece has had.

3. Captain Morgan: Looking back I love this arc for it's simplicity and humor.

4. Post Enesis Lobby: Dragon is Luffy's father? Garp is his grandpa? Shanks was part of Roger's crew? Enough said.

5. Arlong Arc: Pretty much what everyone else has said. After the disappointing Baraite arc (Oda was trying to do too much with too little of a plot imo) he really brings it back with force in this arc.

I do not believe that it is dubbed yet. I can't be sure as I am not caught up yet (with buying the DVDs) but I think Funi is still on Skypiea. Thriller Bark starts on episoded 337-ish I believe.

FUNi just finished 192. With TB being at 337, it'll be a while. There are 52 weeks in a year, and 145 episodes to make it to Thriller Bark. The quickest it could get there, at an average of one episode per week, would be 2 years, 41 weeks (or 2 years, 10 months, 1 week, -6 days), so the quickest would be about 34 months. I'd say probably 3 and a half to 4 and a half years, depending how quickly FUNi works.

1. Marineford - I mean, what a climax Marineford had!! And a fuck-fest of admirals and shishibukai, fighting against the greatest pirate of the New World??!

2. Thriller bark - A talking skeleton joins the crew AND zoro begs Kuma to take his life instead of the other Mugiwaras with tears streaming down his face.

3. Enies Lobby - LUFFY!!! I WANT TO LIVE!! A great arc going in depth of the character that I love in One Piece: Nico Robin

4. Baratie - The pirate who starves himself to save a young boy, and just how fucking EPIC it was to see just how far the strawhats were from their goal to go to the top (Illustrated by the fight between zoro and the greatest swordsman in the New World (Hawkeye)

5. Impel Down - Luffy actually goes beyond HELL and down into the empty void of the universe to save his brother from death. EPIC


Also, I'd just like to add that I was tempted to add the post-arabasta arc in my top5, just because those episodes were the first episodes to take us away from that horrible incident that they call the "arabasta arc"

Artwork was terrible and the story dragged along at too slow a pace. Only reason I didn't get one of my friends to recap the whole arc and just skip ahead to skypea is because they said the boss fight would be epic - which it was, no doubt, just not enough to make up for the rest of the arc being crap.

1. Enies Lobby
I love Enies Lobby. To be honest, this may really be my all time favorite arc of any manga/anime. The fights were seriously epic, all of them, especially Zoro vs. Kaku, which is actually the coolest fight in OP in my opinion. Really liked Luffy vs. Rob Lucci, Sanji vs. Jyabura and Nami vs. Kalifa too, though. And I almost cried when Robin's past were shown (well, maybe shed a tear or two.. and yes, I am a boy, but so what? D:...) Frankys were very sad too.. *Sobs*
UGRRRH I cannot describe how much I hate Spandam, treating Robin like that.. I really liked when she broke his neck when they all left Enies Lobby. So many epic moments in this arc. Liked when Franky stepped in front of Robin just in time to protect her from the marine soldiers' bullets. And when Robin shouted ''I WANNA LIVE!!'' - that was probably the most emotional and epic scene ever. Lucci and Kalifa were awesome. Oh, and Fukurou. XD

2. Arabasta
Epic fights in this one as well. I loved Vivi too, and the fact that she wanted to protect her country even though she was weak was just so cool. Loved Zoro vs. Mr. 1. And Nami's win against Miss Doublefinger.. that was kind of an ironic fight, but Nami really pulled it off. XD This may be the only arc where I really like the main villain (Crocodile). Though he was mean and all that, I just like him... He's epic in some way. Though I don't liked when he stabbed Robin, she didn't deserve that. (Luckily Luffy saved her. 8D I was so sad when I thought she was gonna die because I liked her ever since I saw here the first time..)
The second most emotional scene must be when the Straw Hats say goodbye to Vivi by holding their X-marked arms up in the air. I would have liked Vivi to join the crew, but in some way, this was meant to be, as much as I hate to admit it.

3. Skypiea
Ahahaha, it was epic when Zoro walked the complete opposite way when they were all separated! XD As the two above, this had cool fights. Robin vs. Yama was my favorite fight from this arc. She really owned that fatso with her cool techniques. Never mess with Robin!
I got sad when Enel struck her with lightning. But of course, Zoro grabbed her before she hit the ground! I laughed so hard at Chopper's fight against Priest Gedatsu. XD

4. Marineford
Such a cool war. Liked all the Whitebeard Commanders, especially Marco. And poor Ace... and Luffy. D: *Emo Cut*
This had so much action, and I hoped so innerly that Luffy would manage to save Ace. I was heartbroken when he was killed by that.. {@£?[$#¤%!& AKAINU!!!!11 ... Luffy's reaction were probably the saddest, though. Poor Luffy. .___. His past with Ace and Sabo were so cute.. I believe that Sabo is still alive. He better be! D:

5. Thriller Bark
Nightmare Luffy FTW!~ He totally pwn'd Oars. Liked Robin's little 'fight' against Moria, and the fact that she could wake up so quickly after her shadow had been taken by him was just epic. The Oars vs. Straw Hat all-out battle were cool. And I liked Usopps fight against Perona.. Zoro vs. Ryuuma was pretty damn cool as well. Yeah.. and just LOVED when Robin saved herself and Franky by using her Mil Fleur Wing. Would have liked if she could maintain those wings though, that would be even more badass than it was already. D: Sanji vs. Absolom was epic too.. And Zoro were plain badass when he took Luffys damage by going inside that big paw-thingy Kuma made. Really shows his respect for Luffy.

This changes quite frequently for me. I don't think I can even begin to do this, but... this will apply for both the manga and anime except for Marineford, which I thought was untouchable in the manga and lackluster in the anime.

1. Skypeia.

Spoiler:

I had to really wrestle with my thoughts, but this would easily be my favorite when I think it all over. "ORE TACHI WA FAMILY!" with the wolves dancing just reaffirmed how nutty and heartwarming One Piece can be. Let's start all the way back, including Jaya (I'm going to start at when they arrive at Mock Town). Doc Q offering them the exploding apples really freaked me out, and it shows that luck really is quite a factor for Luffy. A scary thought is that it all could have ended right there if Luffy had simply grabbed a different apple. From that very moment I was interested in Doc Q, who I would later learn was part of an even more interesting (and honestly, indecipherable at this moment for me) crew. Let's see... Blackbeard and Luffy's exchange at the bar with the pies was also quite interesting; a good, simple foreshadowing technique of their opposing ideals. Introduction of higher ups of the World Government was epiiiic, loved that whole thing. Luffy and Zoro taking the bar brawl, yet not fighting back was poignant. I can still imagine exactly how the looked today. And then, of course, the satisfying punch that came afterward with Luffy saying "The sky!" and pointing upwards after everyone said there was no way they could go there. Going Merry flying... self-explanatory... Entrance to Sky Island was magical... Loved Oda's wacky version of Pegasus... Loved Sanji's "This is a trial of love" to the annoying fat dude with Haki... I think I loved every single fight in this arc, and when Enel appeared everything turned up 5 notches. I love that guy. Even if he just appears you know the scene is going to be epic. From the point of Enel with the 5 survivors in front of him, everything turned even more thrilling. The only thing that I will admit did bother me is how the Impact Dials never actually killed anybody (but I would later find out that this was all to make the death of Ace and Whitebeard back to back more monumental). Loved Enel reviving himself with his lightning powers making his heart beat... And then our epic hero finally arrives after the crew is tossed into a desperate situation that seemed insurmountable, speeding towards Enel with godspeed. From then on, if you can believe it, everything goes beyond the word "epic"... Luffy challenging God himself, beating the shit out of him after the stone-faced Enel makes his classic eyes-popping-out face, and then their whole fight. Luffy turning off his brain, Luffy punching the walls which would unconsciously ricochet his fists right into a reeling Enel, and Sanji's "Thanks... You gave me a light." Luffy riding up the Giant Jack with Nami revving it up while Skypiea was in an apocalyptic state was also very creative as usual. FINALLY, Luffy ringing the gold bell and having his shadow appear down to Jaya below. The scary thing is that with One Piece I could mention so much more than this. Anyway, this will always be my top favorite arc, purely because "They're-in-the-f^^king-sky!", the classic pirate-adventure theme, and just general epicness. And Luffy and Enel's faceoff is imprinted so deeply into my mind. I've forgotten countless movie scenes, but this one always stays in there.

2. Marineford.

I really wish I could have read this weekly, but I only started that almost exactly at the point Ace died. In fact, if anyone cares, the point that I said, "Man, I'm picking this up" is when it's chapter freaking 570-something, and everyone in the manga is still saying "That's impossible... There's no way he could have two Devil Fruits!!" At that point I was convinced that every series had to go to crap, but the fact that the characters were still paying so much attention to the rules really intrigued me. I also just liked how efficient it was compared to other manga I had seen in panel-space, etc. South Park's "everything goes stale after 100 episodes" theory proved wrong, basically. I'll edit this later, my brain is kind of fizzled out from Skypeia. Anyway, I think I've reread the end of this arc close to 20-30 times, and Ace's chapter around 50.

3. All of Water 7 (including specific parts of Enies Lobby, Robin's "I want to live!", Luffy vs Lucci, Robin's backstory, just the fact that they're in such an awe-inspiring area, and Going Merry's death). As a side-note, ehhh, this is pretty much tied with Sabaody Archipelago. Very hard to decide between them.

Anyway, just gonna address W7 starting from Aokiji's fight. In 2 episodes (I watched the anime before I read the manga), a guy is introduced. In 2 episodes, I had felt fear like never before in One Piece. I had never even SEEN this guy prior to this, yet he froze Robin with apparent intent to kill, and froze Luffy. I literally stopped breathing during this fight. As an aside, he's also a rather complex character. I wonder if we'll ever see the city of food the villagers there mentioned. But yeah, from the moment Aokiji mentioned how Nico Robin hollowed crews out from the inside, I was HOOKED on this arc. Just gonna go over small things before I go to Water 7. The crew's interactions on the Merry (dartboard eyebrow, Luffy making fun of himself in a more-than-slightly disturbing way by showing how he got frozen with flour, Robin acting very shady from this point on, Usopp wondering if they'll see more strong guys like this [yes you will, sir]). The arrival at the most ingeniously designed area of One Piece yet (Fishman Island is certainly getting up there, though), resembling Rome with the waterways. They had some fun, but very early drama like none other was introduced into this arc. That's how I would describe this whole arc, "drama". And the water really fit with how I was tearing up on most of the episodes, which Oda most likely intended. Usopp vs Luffy was heartbreaking, and it was neat to see a hint of "I don't want to do this, but I've been taking care of this ship, and you're not throwing it away" in Usopp's face while facing off against Luffy. Also, the underlying motive of the fight being Usopp was insecure about his strength. Loved all the callbacks ("I have 8000 warriors!) and Usopp's inventive fighting style, never before had I seen him fight so fierce. I miss his "practical" fighting by the way, but I must admit I do enjoy the plants. Robin and this whole new "CP9" organization in masks enthralled me from the very beginning. Now that I look back at it, I love Luffy's obvious Haki when he repels the Aqua Laguna. Speaking of Aqua Laguna, I love the whole drama that adds to the arc, and that our little crew told Usopp about it in their amusing way. Where I can specifically remember each episode/chapter bringing tears every time was when Usopp was at Franky's place, and Franky told him about Klaubertarmann and threw him under the ship so he could see the damage for himself. OH GOD. I was depressed for a while after seeing that whole series of events. After all the drama, after all the welling up tears... we finally start to see a spark of hope near the end of Water 7 when Nami learns from Iceburg that Robin's intentions were not ill, she in fact wanted to protect them. This is continued by Luffy breaking the buildings, and then them deciding to ride the Sea Train in the effing Aqua Laguna to Water 7 with their former enemies who CAUSED a lot of this drama, the Franky Family. The Sea Train I liked all of, except some parts of Wanze (but you have to admit, it was neat seeing him say things like "Nico Robin is a demon!", "You'll never rescue her!" and Sanji proceeding to knock him through the door. Also, Wanze might have been the inspiration for Duval with the whole face-rearranging.)

4. Arlong Park.

Yeah, this couldn't go without being at least mentioned. It started for me at the Kuro arc, but this arc cemented the fact that One Piece was going to be something special for me. Even back then I remember thinking, "Damn, this is cool!" Little did I know about what lied ahead... The fact that it was dealing with such intense issues that can really show up is what got me hooked. This is just an entire arc type of thing, the whole thing was flawless and succinct.

5. Alabasta.

Honestly, this should be higher since I consider it better than Arlong Park, but Arlong Park is when I officially started to REALLY like One Piece, so that's why it's above it. Let's just consider them tied. Anyway, yeah, like some have mentioned, I loved that fact that there were little cities inside Alabasta (which is being recreated through "districts" in Fishman Island). I lovedlovedloved the Crocodile Casino. I loved the shaky ideals with Smoker. Loved Mr. Prince. Loved the fact (well, not loved, but was on the edge of my seat; I don't like seeing our innocent hero being hurt) that Luffy pretty much *died* two times. Loved how Sanji used his surroundings to cook (the rock, nature's frying pan). Loved the Kungfu Dugongs. Loved the Erotic Camel and crab. Loved Crocodile's insidiousness (drying out a city already on the verge of starvation? Damn.) Loved the whole all-out war in the city. Loved the whole "time" theme when Baroque Works was marching toward their meeting. Luffy's final fight with Crocodile is self-explanatory... and then the ending of the arc was flawless, like the arc itself. Oda using the seemingly unimportant X's at the beginning of the arc to divert Bon Clay as a symbol of friendship while the Strawhats can't face Vivi? Incredible.

1. Water 7 and Enies Lobby
Thanks to this Arcs I became a real OP Fan. Began to buy the Mangas etc. Oda did everything right with the Story and Toei made a great job. Pacing and Animation were als nice (the last Arcs with Episodes there the animation had the typical Oda Style, after and at the end the animators ran wild).

2. Arlong
Relly nice Arc. Story, Emotions, Fights, everything had a good balance.

3. Alabasta
I was a Vivi Fan in the past and was captivated of this Arc..hmm could watch it again.

4. Davy Back Fight
Yeah I know Foxy is annoying but this Arc is nice if you have some free time and want to laugh a bit.

5. Drumm, Loguetown, Baratie...
Most of the older episodes are on one level for me.

Everything till the end of Enies Lobby was watchable. After that the animation style became worse, the pacing was slow and there were annoying filler. Arcs lke Sabaody or Marineford are awesome but only in the Manga. The Anime steals alot of the atmosphere.
