Yeah, I loved how FFX never got trashed for being linear, but oh boy when FFXIII came out... FFX is often cited (at least in Japan) to be the best of the series, so of course Square didn't think it was a bad idea to use a similar map design again.

^ probably because XIII stripped the game map down even more, removing towns, shops, NPC's and returning to previous locations to search for hidden treasure.
*skims over reivew*
''If you want Wakka's ultimate weapon, get ready to play 50-100 games of blitzball"
Hahahahahah! I choked on my coffee.
I'm sure that's (in part) because Wakka's Overdrive has the highest damage potential in the game (non-international) with Break Damage Limit enabled.
Gotta say miss having to do minigames for ultimate weapons and armor. I really only rarely like having to grind and wait on monster drops for the best a game has to offer.
Yes, that means I'd rather do that @#$% chocobo balloon racing minigame than grind in a single player game.
None of them were worse than having to dodge lightning 200 fucking times.
To this day I have no idea how I managed to do it.
*covers face in pain*
That game......never again......
You know what's fun? Getting the Chocobo thing on your first try. The game basically fools you into thinking you have to dodge what you see when it's really just a straightforward pattern you could do with your eyes closed. Shame there wasn't any negative times for high scores... bloody thing caps at 00:00.

Lower the volume and pay attention to flashes. That's all.
The person who has completed this game 100% is my hero, and that includes completing the Monster Arena 100% were we had to capture every monster 10 times to complete the whole thing, and then we had to deafeat every single thing in there to go against the final monster who was like a Dark Aeon, fun times.

No, im talking about one that made the thunder always strike in the same place so you could dogde it over and over again, at least I remember something like that.
BISHIE ALERT

What the hell, Snow?
Also release dates for 13-2
Japan: Dec 15
NA: Jan 31
EU: Feb 2?
Quick Hit. Quick Hit. Quick Hit. Quick Hit. Yuna. Summon. Guard. Call back. Repeat.
None of that has anything in FF8 Omega Weapon in terms of difficulty.
Sadly my version had no Dark Aeons. The only thing I had left on my file was playing with custom spheres on the grid... which was pointless since there was nothing left to kill.

Glitch? Maybe that was discovered after my time.
Here we are... FF13-2 TGS trailer...

No wonder Snow didn't want to show his hair.
No, it was figured out at around the time the game came out. There were videos online showing this corner of the map where you could ensure the thunder would always come down in the same place. It made dodging it much, MUCH less stressful. Using Robby's trick helped trivialize it even further. You just had to be paying attention.
But !@^&*! that balloon shit.
Also, Snow's new haircut. Whaddafuck, I mean seriously
So Snow was not bald after all, lame.
Its always Robby's fault.
ROFL, yeah, that avatar had me confused for a while there... Good thing I recognize your sig...
