I still talk to my friends from High school every now and then. My closest friend I met here on ap (cat monster aka pirateneko) She was there for me during my divorce, has been my roommate and is just an awesome friend. I met all most my circle of friends ( including my boyfriend) through her.

I make friends a lot easier on the internet than in real life, but the ones I do have now are my lifeline. Funnily enough we knew each other since junior high and hang out at school, but didn't start becoming really close friends until we went our separate ways in college. If someone had told me how important and lovely and awesome friends of mine they would become when I was 13, I wouldn't have believed it.

And now we've been through highs and lows and I even got to be a bridesmaid in my friends' wedding. :3

I have two male best friends and two female best friends, I have many things in common with my male friends so we get along great, but I don't have manyt things in common with my female friends but I love the time I spend with then.

I am really lucky to have friends like this.

    Only one thing.
Correcting someone whose native language is not English on the English spelling is the height of idiocy.
I'd rather call it nice. Don't you want to learn?

I have several extremely good friends that I keep in contact often. High School is where I really made the excellent friends that I have and I try to make sure that I put a lot of effort into the friendship. After all, a friendship is only a friendship if both parties put equal effort into it, right? However, college has quickly given me some excellent experience on the nature of some people.

For most of my school career, I was mostly isolated and alone. My mom just loved moving around a lot so I transferred between... probably 20 schools, actually. I never got the chance to really settle down and get attached to one, specific environment. So I never did. After a while, I just figured, "I'm eventually going to leave this place so why bother?"

It didn't help that middle school was the worst. I was a social outcast and tormented relentlessly. Prior to middle school, I attended private school and so I was used to a fairly warm environment overall with nothing but kind people. In middle school, that did a complete turn and I saw the exact opposite. Really, the only benefit I even find in this experience now that I look back, is simply that I probably understand the faces of humanity better than the next person.

So being that it was such a horrible experience (typical bullying + getting jumped/snuck/into fights + cut with a knife + seeing rape in the bathrooms) it became very difficult for me to be social and I became more of a recluse. It took years of thinking and looking at myself as well as humanity in general before I finally started giving people the benefit of the doubt again. I'm still very careful and I immediately drop people if they want to treat me like shit, but high school overall was actually pretty good.

I seem to intimidate people naturally at first but once they get past that, most people latch on to me. Actually, all in my sophomore year, I made my closest friends that I still keep to this day. I have four best friends: John, Stacey, Chris, and Erick. I have some of my deepest and most enlightening conversations with all of them and we've helped each other in several ways. We actually still go out frequently and eat at restaraunts or just hang out with each other in general. We also keep up with each other online (through AIM) and talk on the phone.

They're all like family to me.~

I'm a really good friend and an incredibly nice (to the point of doormat-ism) guy; but my circle of friends has always been rather small. But the ones that are are like best friends. I can make friends. I know I can cus I made a new friend of a friend who just transferred here this term instantly before we'd met through my friend.

But a few years back I went through something really bad and become depressed, demotivated etcetera. It started with one person, but then he got his friends to help and they made my life a nightmare; so a lot of people brushed me off with mis(and pre)conceptions without even knowing me at all; which really pissed me off.
