The airbase I'm on is at red alert till it finally comes to fruition. We don't know if Gaddafi has any horrific weapons he might use in a last crazy bid to smite the opposition, even if he martyrs himself in the process. Either way the entire Tripoli area is being watch vigilantly with planes and missiles waiting in case something arises.

Also i'm intrigued at a comment by someone on the bbc in regards to the unstable power struggle between different groups in the rebellion. Even when Gaddafi is disposed of as well as his regime you still have the issues of putting into place a new government, and just who will hold the power. Then you have the issues about direction of the new leadership. We don't know what ideology and rules they will impose upon the Libyan people. And how they will start bringing money back into the country to try and heal it from all the conflict.

Don't get me started on all the dirty bits that come after. For instance what will happen to the former Gaddafi loyalists, and what will happen to his family.

I can't help but think they need one stable voice again to stop this from going from bad to worse.

Oh great, some armchair cynic south park type moron has stumbled in out of fucking nowhere. Great. This is awesome.

You have it backwards, those people were hyped at seeing the camera and wanted to basically show off and cheer in front of it. They're proud and full of euphoria and adrenaline so they do things that are silly and act like they're drunk.

And all you can think to say to this is call them idiots. Shut up you sheltered twat.

I don't even know what it takes for someone to have this response aside from lacking basic empathy.

Come on, that looked so fake...
How the fuck did it look fake you idiot?

you can see like only 10 people celebrating.
They're on a moving jeep back in the dark, and you can clearly see literal throngs of people jumping toward the jeep. What the fuck are you even talking about. What kind of idiot literally thinks this sort of thing would be manufactured.

I'm saying that it was only to show you or make you think that they are finally winnig their war for freedom.
Oh wow, genius insight there hotshot. I'm sure the great evil Skynews conspiracy to fool us all into thinking a major historical event involving millions of people didn't just happened. This sort of thing is very common I understand.

Why do they take so long? it's been months that they are making it look like it will be soon over
Are you seriously waltzing into a huge thread, over half of which has been Libya based by this point, and asking with skepticism to a bunch of people whove been following it all along......that you don't understand how it suddenly has resolved?
    Are you serious?
Go do your homework first so we don't have to answer your stupid fucking questions.

But the other side is fighting against the most powerful armies of the world.
No it isn't. NATO airstrikes are no armies. Gaddafi's forces have been fighting the rebels themselves.

I just think that it's ridiculous to see the guy shout "freedom" in english for the pleasure of people who believe that Gaddafi is the real evil
    Hey, greeeat point and all.
But maybe you'd like to speak to the following people about your concept of how dumb it is for an Arab person involved or near these revolutions to converse in English with westerners about it.

and among european and american soldiers who don't give a shit about them.
lol what? Those troops in the jeep are Libyan rebels. There aren't any damned western troops in Libya. They're in boats and planes off shore. No boots have touched the ground. You have no idea what's going on over there at all.

That guy doesn't look serious because maybe he knows that he is a traitor, he is killing his own people and he is only being used for the interests of the invaders
Now see here Chuck, I don't know what crappy chat room you've been hiding in previously. Probably some echo chamber full of fat western college communists or the like and having a nice conversation about the great struggle of the people's hero Gaddafi against the pigs of NATO and their rebel puppets... but well that's a cool fantasy RPG forum idea I guess, but here at your apparent new home of "Arlong Park Forums" we have an actual international body including someone who lives in Benghazi and someone who lives in Tunis, and we aren't going to tolerate this fucking shit, because we're that much billion miles closer to reality and the real folks on the ground.

So basically, shut the fuck up.

The guy is or an ignorant commi who revered 'comrade Gaddafi' for all the great revo work he has done against the imperialist pigs..... Or

....an ignorant arab who thinks it's all a CIA plot or something against his fine leaders who fought against western supremacy.... or something.

No no no! Take the money first, ransom him to his family/army, and then shoot 'em all when they're in one place.
One would think you're allergic to money!

Mohammed escaped, i didn't want it to be true but i predicted this.
Some info i dont think they have said on t.v. is that mohammed is the oldest son and is a half-brother to the rest of the family as he was born by Moamars first wife, and i think that is why they went easier on him. On the bright side at least it wasn't Saif-Alislam. Now the 2 other important people are Khamis and the big fucker himself.
    WHAT!!!

That sucks hard. But I'm really just focused on Saif Al Islam here. He was the big scumbag in all of this. Came just like his dad. I'm a bit surprised with myself but I'm feeling serious glee here and I can't wait to see footage of him declaring how sorry he is, while weeping crocodile tears.

I'm not in it for the money, Cuddles. All I want is to get Gadaffi into an airplane and reenact Lockerbie with him.

Which AlJazeera? The arabic one is pretty slow as hell, showing a rerun of hadith al thawra WTF
Atleast Aljazeera English seems to be showing a bit of footage but they are also cold about it.
Thank god BBC and CNN are the ones who deliver here! Looks like it was a lucky CNN reporter who got the footage!
