Well Zoro was a bounty hunter at the time and the former Mr 7 probly had a bounty so if Zoro did not kill him then he would have handed him into the marines for his bounty.

The marines would have either put him in jail or executed him once they got him.

Did you forget that Mr.7 was a bounty hunter, he worked for BW under Crocodile. they all were essentially bounty hunters. I think Mr.1-5 only received bounties after Croc's plan was found out

My prediction is Jimbe was once hated human and influence arlong and met Queen Otohime and changed his way. And the reason Jimbe doesnt want Luffy to take down Hodi is he felt responsible for the way Hodi turn out. Jimbei influence > Arlong influence >Hodi. Stupid prediction heh

Her dad, Neptune, is also shown to be gaint sized. So it might be because of that. But honestly i have no idea.

Well he was the former Mr. 7 and i remember Crocodile sending people to kill numbered agents that failed so if Zoro did not kill him or hand him into the marines then Crocodile would have sent someone to kill him.

In the end he got killed and it would have been Zoro's fault for not accepting his invite into B.W.

I hope not, I want the flashback to happen late in the arc. Let Oda develop this arc and it's fights all the while hinting at it's backstory before giving us what happened 10 years ago.

It seems likely that the strawhats will each fight a member of the new fishman pirates (for example zoro against the swordsman guy who poisoned luffy)
