They say that Hollywood is already asking for the rights so they can produce a movie based of this teaser trailer alone.

Haters gonna hate.

I liked the trailer. The idea of a movie sounds interesting.
if done right it could be pretty awesome.
I don’t think a zombie movie has focused on this type of situation in the way this trailer has., yes 28 days later did something similar, but imo there was no real emotional connect with the characters for me.

As for this one, it’s a little girl and as we know most little girls are good and kind hearted. So, taking all of that in to account, the viewer can some how through the midst of blood and gore and rotting flesh feel that need and that wanting to help her even though there’s nothing you can do. and when you get that emotion you get a good f*cking viral trailer for a Zombie Video Game that could potentially some how turn into a possibly great movie adaptation.

I've never seen a title go from vaporware no one's heard of one day, to on the lips of the entire gaming community by the next. That trailer absolutely blew up. Many are riled by it, due to the fact a game is getting so much press from a CG trailer which probably has little to do with the actual game.

But I suspect that this is going to become a standard, or rather other developers are gonna try to follow suite on getting support for titles they're trying to develop. Sad thing is, the only reason this is emotional is cause it's dealing with a death of a child, something that always pulls on the heartstrings and is almost never seen in media, especially video games.

I agree with some of the people who call it shameless, but I'm not holding it against them. If killing a CGI created kid will allow a small developer get on their feet, more power to them.

Even without the child, the trailer still did wonderful with just the way the events played out and the combination with the music. It would be an A+ trailer either way, but you're right in that the child pulling on a lot of heartstrings is what pushed it to such massive fame in a short amount of time.

I don't feel as bad for the child as I do for the dad, who gets bitten by his child while trying to save her.. really screwed up. I was hoping he would survive and wreak havoc on the island seeking revenge for what was done to his family, but sadly the trailer clearly shows him getting the cooties.

At that point the child's death was lessened by the fact that she was already a zombeh imo.

From the looks of the game, it seems like a combined concept of Left4Dead and Dead Rising.

Not that I mind, I love both those games to death. They're going to have to do a lot to disappoint me, which I have high expectations that they are going to.

The trailer honestly didn't do it for me. Sure it was sad... but I feel the music had more of a hand in that than the little girl. Such a strong buzz so quick for a game without any gameplay to show yet. The game has my interest (the concept behind it. Getting stronger, building stats...etc..), but I wannna see gameplay for this one before getting on board.

Zombies. This ain't gonna be a gamechanger... just another zombie game. Let's hope its good.

If I remember right, one of the silhouettes for the main characters actually does look like the dad, and apparently, the main characters are immune from the zombie infection for some reason.
