That's pretty awesome, Holy! Haha, I'd love to have a little "inside view" of the animation like that, very cool. I wish scrotumnose lots of luck with his work! And oh, I'm very much looking forward to Ms. Fortune's in-game reveal, which will hopefully be soon since she's (finally) been officially announced. I do like how much more polished her design is now having been reworked from the original, although I thought the first one was a bit more charmingly catlike. Still! Pretty nice to see how things are coming along--I can only imagine how longtime followers of the game are feeling right now. ^^

    a mood come alive.

Actually it's not him that's working on this one, it's yet another artist roomie.

All I know about Fortune is that I'm dying to play as her, because her attack animations look slick and explody as fuck.

Wasn't Scrotum working on the game at one point? Or trying to? Could've sworn he was...

Ah well, I'll wait, KOFXIII and Thrid Strike should keep me busy until then.

Parasoul's character trailer is up at the main site!

One of my friends from highschool (a member of my Animation Club, no less!) who went into animation was doing cleanup and reanimating stuff on Skullgirls until she moved. Apparently, after she got there they sent her an e-mail asking how she was, how NY was, and when she'd be able to start working again. When she gets properly situated (she needs to update her outlets to have a work station), she's gonna try and jump back in feet first because she had such a blast doing it.

It's super cool to know people working on this project. It's such a labor of love you can't help but cheer for it, delays and all.

I'm okay with the delay for this game. Bothers me none.

Maybe I'll actually beat all the new games I have. I really want to play some Dead Space 2 this weekend.

.....Hell, if I get to play anything, I'll be a happy camper.

    I am flabbergasted at her.

GENIUS design. GENIUS! I seriously thought she was going to be a boring, old catgirl, which made me severely disinterested in her presence in the game. .......She can decapitated herself, have her head SNEEZE, and launch her head as a projectile.

    .......Outstanding.

To be honest I find her a bit boring, even with the decapitation. The rest is just scratches it seems. Or am I completely wrong?
I like that one of her alt. colors is her original outfit though.

Peacock is really cool but I don't get half of the references. I'm not a gamer geek so most of that stuff is beyond me, someone had to point out the Buster Sword reference. I'd definitely bet Parasoul to be a favourite for most dudes.

I think this game is really good-looking despite having American style, and has a great story to go behind the development. It can't be called "doujin" exactly since the people behind it have pro-experience, but with Capcom's vice-grip on the 2D scrolling fighter genre it's sort of unique/refreshing to see one come out. I'd like to see a new start-up develop too, rather than companies that got started in the '90s and don't have to rely on ridiculous tech to make things work, just a good idea and elbow grease.

I don't necessarily buy into the "the graphics are too good to be faithfully reproduced on YouTube!" though. Seems like desperate promotional hype to me, though I think with this dev story the game should get some more promotion. It's not going to be vapourware...but I have this nagging feeling it might not live up to the expectations some have for it. Duke Nukem Forevers are more common than Half-Life 2s, no?

    But it's true.

The reason they switched to IGN (aside from Promotional purposes) is because IGN can replay their matches at 60 FPS, which is the speed the game plays at. I was skeptical myself, so I went and downloaded one of the earlier Youtube matches that Youtube is incapable of playing at full speed, and there was a huge difference. And p. much everyone I know who's personally been to a Skullgirls kiosk has said that it looks much better in person.

Seriously! Get it now! $15 bucks! Even if you aren't a fighting game fan, there is something to enjoy, and it was made by some of the most fun, game-loving people the game industry has known for a long time!

I can't afford it right now, but the demo is kicking my ass something fierce. I feel like all of my attacks are falling just short of the target, or I'm laying on damage and nothing's being done.

I'll still buy the game, cus I think Fortune's going to be more playstyle than Fillia or Cerebella.

    Peacock's ending...

    Spoiler:

    So alpha, yet...so sad.

I was hoping that her childhood innocence would come out and she would make a wish, but I'm happy with her not being cursed at the same time.

The whole world of this game is jacked up... kinda leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Anyway, I see a lot of potential fighters in a lot of the side characters in the story. Hopefully they come about.

And maybe a pre-skull girl Marie would be cool.

Played for 6 hours straight this morning: seriously leveled up my Peacock game and am learning to cover my weaknesses pretty well.

Totally dominated (probably other beginner players), but still feel like a boss a bit.

Haven't really been playing fighting games recently, but this game is just the best.
Can't wait to try out the tricks I've learned on my friends. :3

Played some matches with koma (who schooled me), and Sarus.

Some good games (Saurus doesn't know how to deal with Peacock / Double yet), and I got a steamroller KO (WRYYYYYYY!!!!!) which is frankly funny shit.
Actually, I see the steamroller a lot more than I expected I would.

Need to work on my mashing habit, and my Double needs serious work, but good stuff so far.
