Um, all last night and some of today, the forum has been down.

hey, I hope no one minds me bumping this thread. Got a question related to the new upgrade. I understand that when someone quotes me, it shows up under notifications and i click on it and it brings me to a page with all my quotes. how do I access it when I don't have a quote in my inbox? I tried clicking on notifications in general but it won't take me there. I tried looking at my own little user page and my private messages, but i can't find the quote section.

You're not alone. It took me a while to find those as well.

You can reach the quote-section by clicking the "Settings" link in the top right corner. It will take you to your private settings panel where you can check your private messages, change your settings, avatar, signature, etc. The settings interface also has all your quotes listed there. Very convenient that little link, isn't it.

the staff here don't mind suggestions but it usually takes a while for them, being busy with life and all. do you know anything about web design. maybe if you did one up and submitted it to a staff member, they could use it?

There is no point in suggestioning a new upgrate..at least not when you`re willing to do it yourself.
In the past we hoped to get the old main themes as an option, but seems like undoable for busy staff.
I myself am also a newb in such things, but when someone rly needs something beside FI main theme, you have to do it yourself and beg for some admin/mod to spare the time to add it to Bulletin.

There's actually two or three new themes very nearly ready to go, mostly what they lack are thread icons.

If somebody wants to do up some Hattori icons for a CP9 theme, feel free.. Just remember, they have to look good small. (Like the Sabondy bubbles or the Caribou in a barrell images we have currently.)

I actually did most of the work on a Jinbe theme, but everyone seems to assume I'm joking about using it.

Yeah, but, when I was talking to Urouge before (or was it Brennen? ... I can't remember) he really didn't want to use pixel icons for the new skins because he felt they wouldn't fit the theme well. So I tried to make some icons using photoshop, but when they were sized down they looked terrible so its been on hold ever since. :T

The image dimensions are 40x40 and 48x48, though... Anything that isn't a pixel icon is going to look terrible.

Pixel art is fine, it was just that the theme in question had a darker tone and didn't really fit with the cartoony approach we were initially trying. You are both welcome to PM me or hit me up on AIM/Live, I'll get you whatever info you need.

Currently FI is the only enabled theme, so no you cannot change it at the moment.
