Cool. I was hoping to get Vorcha in multiplayer. But would it kill them to add new handguns?!
Also still no news on the fixed ending DLC. Theyre gonna make us wait for E3 aren't they -____-
Yay more weapons and characters I won't be able to get because of the stupidly random setup of purchasing items.
I know...I still don't have any Krogans, Geth or batarians -___-
The only Krogan I have is the Soldier I don't have any Batarians.
Yeah, I can see how people would be annoyed with the whole "random unlocking" of the DLC content after getting it... though I've gotten most of the characters by now.
I think it's a good way to keep people playing and everything after getting they've got the DLC, but it is a bit annoying. Probably moreso if you don't play Gold(or even Silver) since it would take that much longer to buy the packs to unlock the stuff.
"As long as I'm alive, I want to die having risen just one step higher."
I want a damn CARNIFEX!!!!
It just seems odd though most multiplayer games let you buy stuff outright or give you access to stuff once you hit a specific level. ME3 for whatever reason just does it's own little thing, the only plus is that you can use real money to buy the packs (which you can blow through way fast) which is way faster and less annoying than playing through a mission on gold to earn enough money over multiple playthroughs for a pack.
I can't understand people who would actually use real money to buy any pack, it's just... Not that difficult that you should need to do it. Admittedly, I don't have much spare cash at the moment so that's part of the reason, but I wouldn't spend actual money if I did have it when all I need to do is play a couple games to get the stuff.
Really can't understand people who do pay(at least not in excess, now and again or when you have spare microsoft points is understandable), but that's just me. When the first DLC came out, me and a friend(and someone he knew) spent the whole time playing on gold and it really didn't take long to get enough credits. Plus that was half the fun, buying the pack after a good game and unlocking something that you wanted.

I don't have the time to play as much as others, and I get increasingly frustrated feeling like I'm holding my team back with my shitty handgun. but I can't use any of the other guns well enough to justify the strain on my recharge bar. I'm not good enough to win on gold, and I'm decent at Silver, so yeah, I've paid real money for packs before, not that I ever get anything I want from them. Just a bunch of shotguns, snipers and SMGs and a bunch of boosters for THOSE guns -____-
A buyback option would be nice, where you can sell back stuff you know you'll never use for a smaller cash reward.
A shop would be the best tho.
I hear a lot of love for the Carnifex, but when I finally unlocked it I didn't think it was anything great. It's grown on me a lot(from using it in the campaign) since then, but still. But I don't use a pistol a whole lot anymore, so yeah. What class are you playing as that you're trying to keep the recharge low and using a pistol? Some sort of shop/buyback option would be good, or just more specific packs. Add in a gun pack, like what they did with the equipment pack, and that would probably help out people who're looking for a specific weapon a lot.
But that's also a reason why I wouldn't want to actually buy any pack, since it's random. If you can play silver, you should be able to do alright on gold as long as you know what to do and so does your team. It's more challenging, but it's got a pretty concrete system to it that you can follow. Geth enemy, forget the name of the map(extraction point is at a ship on the landing pad), and at least one salarian engineer is probably the easiest way to do it that I know of. As long as everyone is in their spots and no one is completely awful, you can usually do pretty alright.
"As long as I'm alive, I want to die having risen just one step higher."
That's in a gold match? I don't think that's ever happened to me, most people know to stay in one spot. If they don't they usually figure it out after they die a bunch of times, or when they notice that no one else is really moving around the map.
Unless you're talking about silver(or bronze, haven't played bronze in forever), then yeah, people tend to run around a bit more. But that's not as bad, since you can actually do that on lower difficulties and still do fine.
"As long as I'm alive, I want to die having risen just one step higher."
No people do run around the maps in Gold don't know why considering the higher difficulty but they do.
Well, I dunno then. I haven't really had that experience, at least not consistently and not with more than one or two people at the most.
You just get shitty teams for gold, I guess. Some people can pull it off... but probably not the people you're with if it's an issue.

^ I had some good games the week before but you do get some wiseguys who decide to put themselves a good distance away from the extraction point leading to partial extraction.
So I downloaded the new updated and unloaded my wallet at spectre packs.
I got a Geth and Batarian and ARC pistol -_____-
I haven't used the Batarian yet, but Geth is one of my favorite classes... So that's not too bad, really. You'll get the Carnifex eventually, though I don't think it's the be-all-end-all weapon... but I don't generally use it for any of my characters(besides Adept) since I've been using sniper rifles in multiplayer.
"As long as I'm alive, I want to die having risen just one step higher."
I can't use Sniper rifles well at all. Doesn't suit my playstyle and it takes forever to reposition the aim reticule. Tho it feels like the Geth I got was designed to work best with sniper rifle.
Assault Rifles and SMGs feel like I'm unloading and nothings happening, that's why I like Handguns, I get the feeling my bullets are accomplishing something. I can't control aiming very well in close quarters, so Shotguns are almost useless to me.
Oh sweet. this thread has turned momentarily multiplayer!! yaaaay
I still haven't beaten the game.... pathetic.
But I know your pain Conekiller.... i've unlocked just about every type of character.... have a few level 10 weapons... even spent a bit of money on packs!!!! Altogether putting a shit ton of time into the that portion of the game....
...and still no FUCKING CARNIFEX!!! *despair*
ahem, the reason I want a carnifex is that it would compliment my Drell adept nicely (one of my best characters, and IMO the best adept... especially when paired with an adept who can detonate his spammed reave).
The geth are awesome, but all the best builds make them glass cannons... so being careful is a must. My Geth Infiltrator is built to be a melee destroyer. Just give his cloak the fire one power skill, use a geth plasma shotgun with the knife attachment, as mentioned before... build him for strict melee, also have his proxy mine built for damage with the "20% damage done to those hit", and he CHEWS through infantry.
The routine is cloak, lay proxy mine at enemy's feet, and do heavy melee. This works wonders for groups. You just have to be careful and swift on your feet.
The Batarian is also another good class. My soldier build doesn't use the blade armor at all, which free's up points to put in inferno grenade, health and shields, and his blade shot ability. I use the hornet with him and he rocks.
