Their latest treatise, The Trouble with Anything Existing
So do you think it's possible that two female characters in Bleach can have a conversation without at least one being a total bitch to the other?
Aside from that, I guess it wasn't a terrible chapter. It was decently paced, and as others have said, that Quinzi is kinda cool.
They must have, considering Bleach isn't even past the 500 mark yet.
Oh, half of another one might Unohana and Isane.
True, though that was hilarious in a way. But now he just seems so plain and mellow compared to what used to constitute his personality. I guess you could call it character growth, but it's just happened at the cost of what made him interesting.
True, they did mess up those footsoldiers quite handily, and I was rather taken a back when one of them was impaled through the head. Someone should be doing something while Ichigo takes his extremely sweet time to walk around the corner. It's just that I would care a lot more if I actually liked these characters, and their near instant fodderization sullies their brief badassaery somewhat. I just can't get as excited over them as Kubo tries to make me with his full-page drawings of their appearance and defeat; it'd be like if Oda reintroduced Nero with great fanfare, only to have Random New character throw him over the horizon next week.
I would tend to agree. A large part of it is propably because we're in the early phase of the arc, before Kubo can get his awful plot twist ball rolling. Even the fullbring arc wasn't tht bad in the beginning- it was just slow and boring as hell.
And while this arc is much better out of the starting gate, and while the chapter wasn't that bad, Bleach is still stuck with the cardinal sin of poor pacing. The only things that happened was:
- Fodder characters fight other fodder characters
- mayuri spends several pages stating the obvious. No new information obtained.
- Fodder characters have been fodderized offscreen. Ichigo swoops in from the great distance of 100 meters away.
Though the more I see of him, the more I like Kirge Opie, unfortunate name aside.
Yeah, Fritz is better.

Judging by the way his female characters act and speak, I think Kubo's only female interactions comes from cheap hookers.

Lol, do cheap hookers act that way?
I defer to cheap hookerologists
I don't know about cheap hookers. But I feel like Kubo is exclusively watching the Bad Girl's Club and Real House Wives. The women in Bleach don't really seem to have a good middle ground.
They seem to range from GirlishlyTimid-----------Stoney Silent----------Bitch Fight Loudmouths.
Well, Kubo basically admitted he outright reuses characters so 3 female character templates is to be expected.
Doesn't make him any less lazy.
