Damn, Whitey Bay and Moria in the same group and together. Match 16 is going to be hard one to pick a winner. Since there is a lot of fan favorite characters are in it. Match 14 is going to interesting as well for the same reason of match 16. All together this year preliminary rounds matches is going to be interesting.

Only 3 can passed. This is going to be a tough match.
Match 12 too with Rayleigh, Makino, Oars and Enel.

And I can't decide if the merging of Val and 5 is a good thing. I don't like 5 so wouldn't vote for him which makes my Nomination redundant. But she probably would get more votes as a team.

I'm glad people remembered my tease from earlier in the week. That is indeed the one pairing I championed.

Krieg and Absalom fought to a near tie standstill two years ago in the first round of the character tournament, and they became fast friends, both of them living up the mantra of "Whoever wins, we all lose." (I personally favored them both equally in a bout of schizophrenia, and ultimately rooted for a fusion of the two, Don Salom. But thats another story.) But after their battle, they started hanging out and became buddies, lamenting over that Sanji fellow and how little of a fanbase they seemed to carry. They had a couple lunches, went back to their dayjobs, and then lost contact with on another, and didn't speak for a while.

The next year, neither one of them made it through the preliminaries, and after commiserating over a few beers along with Perona and Pearl, who also failed to pass the prelims, they again split up and went their separate ways.

A few months later, Krieg, feeling especially defeated and perpetually emasculated, started seeking help in the the newspaper. There he saw a Charles Atlas style ad for the services of one Doctor Hogback, and upon going to the doctor to be granted even more powerful super human strength and abilities, he met his old tournament rival and friend Absalom, who complained about Perona having gone missing, and they once again hit it off fantastically.

They decided that if they could not make it past the first round as rivals, or even the preliminary on their on, that perhaps they could pool their talents for the greater goal. Krieg ended up recruiting Absalom with the promise of cute, less-dead women. Krieg himself was upgraded as Oda promised in Databook Green, and became the cyborg, Don Krieg - 9000.

Now, they are united as the ultimate tag team duo, sure to go far.

They are, The Monster and The Mech.

I want to say for the record that I championed the idea of combining Rob Lucci and Hattori, but was overruled by the rest of the Event Mods on thr grounds that it would just hurt Hattori to be paired with Designated Tournament Whipping Boy, Rob Lucci.

Also it was originally going to be only two contestants to advance out of every ten. but I managed to talk them into raising it to three out of fifteen instead. So you should all thank me for that.

I see a fine chance for voting Pwngoat thus getting rid of Crocodile before the real matches even begin. As lame as all the goat-memes are, it seems voting for them serves a greater good this year.
