Good news, guys! The idea that this thread inspired is now implemented. New users can no longer make new threads outside of the intro forum until they're able to vote (and they should be familiar with the forum by then).

That's some good thinking. 3 no 4 flies in one hit.

- No more threads for simple questions that can be found elsewhere on the forums.
- No more trolling threads made by obvious trolls, b4 they're banned.
- It forces new users to search where to post (by extension to think about what they're gonna post).
- We're gonna get rid of these 'voting' threads - cause they're gonna be able to vote then.

Yeah , i just tried it, it works perfectly, it gives you a page that you don't have permission. So no, he's not kidding.

feel free to call me a moron, doesn't really bug me; I stood to help the forums and at the end of the day I find this a plus. I mean shouldn't thread making be a privilege ? I mean, yeah now I can't make threads, but that's a small price to pay for the improvement of the forums.
