What would have been so bad of Jinbei being beaten up by Super-Hody?
Giving Shirley a bit more screentime is cool i think, but iam not sure why she has to be Arlongs sister.
Does Oda plan something with her or is that just a nice little fact, without much meaning behind it?
The epic battle of BusterCall vs. Don is decided !!!
And the results are 3:2 for Don..
On Mr. 9 x Ms. Monday: I should have known that the two of them were still alive, but I wasn't expecting to see them in the coverstory, much less married with a kid. Still, good for them.
On the Princes getting captured: Expected, but I would have liked the three Princes, particularly Fukaboshi, to put up more of a fight... I had a 3v1 scenario in my head of Luffy, Jinbe, and Fukaboshi jointly taking on Hody (so drugged up as to be nigh unstoppable) as a final battle for the arc.
On Shirahoshi/Jinbe getting captured: I actually like this move by Oda... It delivers the two people Hody was really worried about right into his hands, making them appear helpless against the New Fishman Pirates without actually forcing a battle, thereby keeping the full extent of their strength a mystery. While Shirahoshi's power lies in her "Pokemon Master" abilities over Sea Kings make a better "threat of force" in my mind than an "application of force", Jinbe's abilities have been largely unexplored other than the blurb about Fishman Karate back when he and Luffy were dueling. And since I highly doubt that the two of them will remain in chains for the remaining duration of the arc, that means that Jinbe at least is still perfectly capable of having a decent fight at some point.
On Madam Shirley being Arlong's sister: Nice! I'm really liking the additional characterization that Arlong is getting through this arc... And I'm not entirely sure that Oda's not setting us up for his return.
On Hody assassinating Otohime: I love that Hody makes his big reveal only for Shirahoshi to say what everyone reading was thinking... :p Not really a surprise, given what we know about him.
On Decken "throwing" Noah: Well... THAT could cause some problems...
On no One Piece next week: NOOO!!! T_T Feel better, Oda!

Black tea really is best enjoyed with one's fellow monsters.
Because he has like 10-20 more years of experience in battle but put aside this,he is supposed to be one of the strongest characters in OPverse.Ok he can't win against Admirals/yonko etc etc but he can handle himself against most if not all the high tiers,so being beaten by a random at best mid tier punk because of some pills, for me it would be bad
That's why Luffy beat Croc and Moria even pre timeskip and at lease Croc went against DoFla and Mihawk without taken damage and has attacked Akainu without fear as well... Both are Shichibukai as well^^
Seriously... Where was it ever said he is one of the strongest... because he blocked one punch of Akainu and crippled his hand, run away from Magellan or him fighting a rookie Ace?
Oh, that's Pandaman right there, trust me.
Yeah, this bugged me last chapter already a lot. Especially since they actually had it written as "Ark Noah" when it was first introduced - why change that, especially when the reference is so blindingly obvious?!
I don't know what to make out of this chapter. I expected the princes to be defeated off screen so that didn't disappoint me, and it's nice of the people saying how first they destroyed the NFP but then got defeated after more ES pills...
BIG LOL at Hyozou simply sleeping after the little turmoil.
Spoiler:
After the revelation of Arlong being Shirley's sister... I really wonder if he's going to show up soon. And, wth Jinbe, who did you get captured so easily?! That's just damn pathetic, I expected much, much more from him - that was lame storytelling right there, seriously.
And still no Strawhats?! Come on!...
Well, I wish for Oda to get better soon and all the best. Hope he's not seriously ill with something.
Rule of thumb in any piece of fiction. The more enemies there are the less dangerous they are.
Odd, thought Mr. 9 would be dead. LOL
I don't like Hodi, but I really like Dekken, so him tossing something that is half the size of fishman island is epicness.
I think it's safe to assume that he is one of the strongest characters in OPverse, not in the leauge of the Admirals/Yonko but he is clearly VERY strong.
About the luffy croc/moria,you got a point but i think it's a bit different not only because we are talking about the main char but Luffy had a "reason" if you want which gave him the (will)power to fight against them in beat them.
On the other hand Hody's just an enraged fishman who wants to take down humans.
Anyway i personaly would prefer IF they would fight that Jinbe would be able to defeat Hody or at worst to be on equal ground, but if Hody would be able to take him down i would feel dissapointed..
suspense mode... get well oda-san.
And your safe to assume is based on nothing. His powers wasn't potrayed above Croc's during the war after all. Wiper was very strong and stood no chance against Enel. Sanji and Zeff were very strong and still Luffy fought Don Krieg... and so on
Yeah Hody captured Zoro and Co, killed the mother of Shirahoshit and mentor of Jinbei, is treating the island of his new friends like shit and many more...
But yeah he has no reason to fight Hody like he had against Croc... Seriously...
But who the fuck said that SSJ Hodi is below Jinbei? We have no serious feats from him and Jinbei's feat during the war weren't more impressive than the feats of Croc
Too bad we won't get a chapter next week but hey, it's for health.
Yeah, I think most knew already or guessed it was Hody...though somehow Shirahoshi knowing it was a bit of a surprise. (not as surprising as that Whiskey Peak intro...IT TOOK THAT LONG TO CONFIRM THE SURVIVAL OF MR. 9 AND MISS MONDAY!?)
Just know that Van Der Decken's gonna cause trouble for next time, though.
Y'know, Negima WAS awesome...
For the first 18 volumes.
