Because fan petitions have totally worked in the past. Like the save Mother 3, and Operation Rainfall.
Yeah. I liked it, but it's not going to work. It'd have to have a big enough Japanese fanbase to actually make a difference in the first place. We're having a hard enough localizing some games over here, let alone getting a company to create new ones.
If fan petitions actually worked I'd be swimming in English MOTHER 3 cartridges and spent embarassing amounts of time on Earthbound on the Virtual Console.

Family guy came back because of dvd sales, not petitions.
It should have stayed dead.

Solatorobo has a Mega Man Legends vibe,so I'm all for it.
I don't think that will mean anything, but I honestly think the only chance MML3 has is gestating while internal interest grows in developing the game.
I think fans will have little to do with it getting greenlit, but one day. Eventually it has a chance. I think. Give it time, if enough people in Capcom and related to it seriously want to make that game, then I think that speaks for itself.
Did you even read the article
I think Capcom would allow another studio to fund MML3... if they didn't have to spend a dime funding it themselves and they didn't have other games in mind for the developer.

Our only chance. Capcom, come the fuck on. Don't bullshit, just give it to them.
What a dumb thread title.
Anyway, I checked out some clips of SalatoRobo. I'm feeling it, but not feeling it at the same time. We'll see... Capcom might turn them down.
@Supa64: Already been posted, it is what we're discussing at the moment.
I've heard nothing but great things about SalotoRobo. It seems like one of those gems that would pass everyone by...
Might try it once it goes cheaper.
