Thread: Lollipop Chainsaw

In a way I can understand. There are games(garbage) that relies heavily on sexualizing the female leads(or females in general) for sales. If there are women that don't like it this trend, then that's something we all have to live with. That said, not every female gamer would give a shit and see rendered characters as portrayals of themselves.

I just see Timmy Turner wielding a chainsaw. It's the same thing I did for Biulletstorm, Spike Spiegel stuck on a mutant planet. But seriously, Suda must be trying to get the dumbest ideas out of his head to find the good ones. She reminds me of that bat wielding girl assassin from No More Heroes. You know the one.

I saw your previous comments. You don't like anyone who disagrees with you. I can tell by your avatar that you really want this game. It's just that it's a wacky idea. Why doesn't see fight ninjas or something else. Zombie slayers are everywhere now. putting one in a cheerleader costume isn't really original to me.

Being disagreed with has nothing to do with it, lol. I just find it incredibly idiotic to be taking this game too seriously or to question its quality because it's not serious. All of Suda games have been over the top and absurd... and every single one of them have been awesome.

I can't think of any game that has ever had a main character dressed in a cheerleader's outfit at this moment. Only one I CAN think of is Bayonetta, and that was an alternate costume. Unless you mean movies....in which I don't think any of those movies had rainbows flying around and a decapitated, talking head of an ally.

And with the amount of games that take themselves too seriously and aim at being dark and gritty, it's really nice to not have to take everything so seriously and just have fun.

You're reminding me of fans who say that Mortal Kombat needs to be 'darker', when in the last game, half the cast was killed off.

I'm not taking this seriously, you are. This is the game for you guys. Be happy already. I just just stated an opinion of taste. i like that they got Tara Strong to voice the chainsaw cheerleader. I liked No More Heroes and Killer 7. Suda's a genius ok. Hey, not every game by Suda is a must get for me. I'm just glad he's keeping his creative juices flowing. This game is just one of his wacky ideas with an overused enemy. Ok? Just don't hate me for liking different games than your games, Ok?. Oh and Tsumuji(my avatar) didn't get released of over here. Be grateful and happy people import and translate your favorite games over here. I hope you have fun playing Chainsaw Lollipop (no sarcasm). It's just a game.

Missed the entire point of the 'too seriously' comment.

Wasting time is so much fun.

So it would be fresher if they replaced one overused enemy type(Zombies) with another over used enemy type (ninja's).

Indeed. I enjoy it too. I don't like wordy comments. By the that head on Cheerleader's hip. Is that her crush? that's a wacky concept. Is there another chainsaw wielding archenemy that did that to him. The plot thickens indeed. There had better be a chainsaw fight at the end of the game. Sparks flying everywhere. And rainbows. Lots of rainbows!!!

I wonder if rescuing classmates will be a major part of the game.
It would be a nice little reminder of Zombies Ate My Neighbors.

Interviews we've gotten in the past confirmed that rescuing classmates is a part of the game, however they made it sound optional. No doubt in typical Grasshopper fashion you'll get some goodies if you rescue everyone.

Thanks. It's just a matter of perspective i guess. i forgot about the athletic side of cheerleading. All those cheerleading maneuvers combined with chainsaw wielding makes for a formidable fighter character. Nice video. It seems to have some "wacky" comedy as well. Eh, I'll give it a shot (:])

Looks like some fun gamplay. I like the rainbow blur that comes off of the chainsaw when she swings it.
Amd the health bar looks like it's made up of green lollipops (of course).

This is a must get for me. The dark sense of humor is selling point.

What "what"? You have to be super fit to do cheerleading. Even a small stunt like the subset lifting one of the cheerleaders requires lots of ability and is quite dangerous.
