Traveling Sketchbook - Europe edition

Many times in the past, the United States have copied or imitated our beautiful and diverse culture, ideas, ideals and customs. This time the roles will be reversed. Not exactly the first time but eh

So, for as far as I could understand, some of the US Arlong Park members have started a "Traveling Sketchbook", which, if it is what it sounds like, a sketchbook that travels. By mail. Between the members. I want that too.

Basically, it will be a book that will be passed on by each person who signs up for it to the next, and each will draw something on one page. I don't know the exact rules and I couldn't find them anymore either, so it would be nice if a Traveling Sketchbook veteran could repost them for our reference. Or we could just decide on new rules ourselves.

So, all Europeans with drawing skills (or not) who are up for this idea, say aye. We're still in an early stage so I think it's best to discuss things first before making concrete plans and making a signup list. First I want to hear if there's enough enthusiasm for the plan.

The rules

Hidden:

- Every participant gets one page (back and front) in the book. Stick to the space you get.
- Any art is allowed, be it One Piece fanart, other fanart, or original art. No possibly offensive stuff, though.
- Take good care of the Sketchbook. Don't use any materials that might damage it.
- Keep your hands (and pencils, pens...) off of other people's work.
- When your drawing is done, scan it and post in in the AP-thread. If you don't have a scanner, say so in the thread so the next person can scan it for you.
- The maximum time to keep the book is one month. If you have had the book for a month, you must immediately send it to the next person, regardless of how far your work has progressed.
- Stick to the sending order as decided on in the AP thread. In case you really think a switch is necessary, discuss it with others in the AP thread first.
- Keep the AP thread up to date. Make a post with the exact date when you receive the Sketchbook and when you send it out.
- Write your name and the date you received the book in the Logbook (on the last page of the Sketchbook).

Shouldn't we first make a list of those who participate and establish the order in which we get our turn? Also, would be nice to keep in mind the distance - so that the book wouldn't have to travel from, say, Spain to Norway and than back to Greece or something.

And about drawing - a page or two for everyone should be okay.

Yup, exactly why I'm listing the countries. To make a most efficient route for the Sketchbook to take. But first we should wait until maybe some other enthusiasts pop up, and take care of some formalities.

About the space per person, see image below:
I think if everyone gets two pages that can be viewed at the same time, that would be good. Use them both for art, or, the right one for art and the left for some kind of message (like name etc).
And make sure your drawing or writing doesn't mess up the page for the next person, or shows on the previous person's drawing.

You're free as a bird to do whatever you like with the two pages!
Although I'd ask not to do too material stuff like put in extra pages or um glitters or the like. You catch my drift :p We don't want the Sketchbook to be all sticky and messy and bumpy.

If we buy paper dense enough, 120-150 g/m^2 (printing paper is 80-100 g/m^2), that won't be a problem.
