It was kool that renji was giving his reason for training over the last year or so, but why did kubo use aizen as a measuring stick, makes no sense because the gap is still like seeing the reflection of the moon in a pond.
kubo could be saying "hey guys don't go now and forget aizen, cause i have already planned his comeback so just wait tight and chill".
Aizen is used as a measuring stick because he's pretty much the strongest being in existence at this point in time.
(I have no fucking idea why they didn't just execute him, but whatever.)
The only other character that it'd make sense to be used as such is Yamamoto, and it'd sound kind of bad to say that you're training in order to be able to kick your boss's ass.

So, am I the only one who found slight amusement in the fact that a shinigami got in trouble for bringing modern technology into soul society? Because, heavens forbid anyone try to make soul society change or improve in a measureable way
Sounded more like he brought in a Harley or something similarly loud and pissed everyone off with the noise.
Soul Society is run by crotchety old men, after all...

I wonder if any of the Shinigami ever brought a monster truck to the Soul Society?
Who needs cellphones when you have Spiritual Pressure.
The Hogyoku made him immortal, or something along those lines.
Read the chapter. Looks like I guessed right with Kubo showing these matchups......before I get to each of the fights individually, there's something that caught my eye collectively.
Jackie and Tsukishima's minion's powerups have the same basic effect. Their strength is increased. (Wait, Bradley too!) For crying out loud, both of them destroyed parts of the environment.
Now, Ikkaku vs Annoying Punk. I got slight amusement at Ikkaku fixing his shoulder/arm dislocation....and his opponent's "wtfhappened" reaction. No one-shot, but out of all these guys, why didn't this punk fall first?
Renji vs Jackie. Okay, I assumed Jackie's way to gain power would have a greater range on the body, but her form covered inblackdirt is just weird to look at. However, this might be a fight where Renji doesn't get his ass handed to him. That last page could be a one-shot, but I'll assume it's more a "significantly weakened" attack.

Fuck Bleach, that sig is awesome man.
The clam better get brought back to life after the war.
Naruto: So how many months have we been fighting these out-of-nowhere kages in the desert? And how long until Naruto stops twiddling his thumbs off panel-seriously, what is he doing, his fight is over- and swoops in to do the finishing blow?
And I may be totally clueless here, but if everything the mizukage's been doing up to this point has been mirages...
why are there so many dead ninjas? I only read Naruto superficially, but as far as I recall, it always just cut to straight to MirageMizukage standing on a pile of corpses, without showing how they got there.
Bleach: Eeeehhhh. Absolutely nothing happened -unless Renji actually managed to KO femchad. In which case I'll laugh my ass off next week. And I know these guys are supposed to be fordder for the powered up shinigami, but god damn if Ikkaku vs Punk kid is ridiculously underwhelming.
He can knock down trees.
He dislocates Ikkakus shoulder.
HOLY FUCKING SHIT I can see why Ginjo is so afraid of powering him up, dudes a monster!
Although he somehow managed to teleport behind Ikkaku with no special techniques whatsoever. Arrancarized adjuchas with sonidos got nothing on a teen with inconsistent hairstyle, bitch!
And I was 100% correct in assuming that despite recieving Ichigos powers mere minutes ago and transforming into completely new forms they couldn't possibly have predicted, all the fullbastards are experts on them.
Naturally.

aha ha ha wtf was that chapter.![]()
I was hoping that Kaze guy died in that one scene. That would have been the only interesting thing about that chapter.
you know, I can accept that Shishigawara has punches that make really unlikely things happen. Like, he hits a chandelier and it just happens to unscrew itself and fall apart.
and I guess he hits a tree and it just happens to suddenly fall down.
but when the hell do shoulders just happen to dislocate themselves!? That isn't the sort of thing that happens! Heart attacks, though... that would make sense. But nope, we got kubo for an author. Ikkaku fixing it with just his muscles was badass btw.
It would have made Naruto more interesting if the Tsuchikage was killed off that's for sure. What the hell do you think is going on now?
i enjoyed ikkaku's scene because i liked the cool dislocation fix.
it was also kind of nice to see renji having an easy time for once, though i'm not sure if i like his new superior tone.
so despite this arc being beyond saving in terms of quality, bleach gets a D- passing grade this week for actually getting me to enjoy a part of it.
Don't worry, be happy~
