They haven't really had Xtreme versions of the modern gen games. But even if they do, no, the dlc wouldn't be the sum of an entirely seperate gaming package.

Don't count on an xtreme legends version. Sales pretty clearly mean there's going to a part 2 in 16-24 months, but they don't guarantee a mid version.

xtreme legends usually just got a couple of new chars and stages so i dont really want to buy them given that i already buy the original game. however, this is a one piece game. a couple of new playable chars will make a huge difference, at least for me.

so part of me really want to be able to play all chars and stages (so i need to buy the xtreme legends version) but at the same time i dont think im willing to pay a full game price just for a couple of new chars, given that i already buy the original game.

so yeah, i hope they will just make the sequel instead of the xtreme legends version. even if they want to add several new playable chars they better just make them as DLCs.
