Question Western Animation section! Now with stuff!

As you have all no doubt noticed, there is now a Western Animation subsection in media. This will probably also apply to comics. This should organize things a bit better and make some stuff easier to find, and keep popular topics from dropping off the front page so quickly.

I moved a whole bunch of threads (about 150), and merged a couple of them, but if I missed anything important, let me know. (I think anything from 30 pages and three years back is probably not of much consequence, but I might have missed something more recent.)

There's a lot of redirects at the moment, sorry, I didn't consider how that would look when so many threads were moved enmasse, but most of them will fade pretty quickly and the rest not too long after.

If you have any recommendations on a thread you think should be given prominence and stickied, or retitled, mention it and if it gets a ton or traffic or is a perpetual topic, I'll consider it.

I'll leave this note up for the next couple days. Enjoy the restructuring!

I think the Cartoon Network thread should be sticked, but that's just my vote. Anyone else in favor?

Aslo... this is the best sub-board on the forum. Glad you guys went with the idea. Quickly too.

I approve of this new sub-forum. Very convenient.
And I also agree that the Cartoon Network thread should be sticked.

I think a sub-forum for comics and live-action TV would be good too. Maybe one for film as well but we'll see. We'll see is the key word at the end of the day. For now let's just celebrate another excellent sub-forum! ^_^
Proud member of the Beelzebub and Negima are awesome crews.
Toonami is back. All is right again.
Say it with me now: New shows, same Toonami.

^Those two sit very well in the general media section and I don't really see much need for a section for those. Especially western comics, since it isn't as popular outside Marvel and DC. If that were the case, we'd be seeing topics for comic books series branching out from the main "Western Comics" thread.

    Hmm. This might be usefull.

But it will take some getting used to :P

I kinda want to sticky My Little Pony, but its not like it ever fell below the top three anyway, even before the split.

And that's... two votes on Cartoon Network.

Should things like adventure time and regular show be fused into that? Eh, they're easier to find now with the split.

Am I the only one irked at how the section kind of bypasses the contributions Europe and Non-Japan Asia have made to animation?

Another vote for Cartoon Network being stickied. Adventure Time and The Regular Show are popular enough to warrant a separate thread, but they could always be merged later if interest lags. As is, other shows would probably be drowned out because of them.

Non-Disney thread has always had a lot of European animation in it and I really can't think of any European shows that have enough of a presence here to really matter.

Very cool that you sectioned this off. I feel that it's deserved, just like I felt with Video Games a couple years ago.

But one more thing: I'd say that the Western Comics topic deserves a pin. It's over 200 pages and covers a specific topic of import to this subcategory. Mostly I don't want to scroll down to talk about Batman, 'k?

Yeah, and Western Actually DOES cover that, since japan is pretty far in the east, most other countries are in the west. What I dont like is this thing here....

Not anime, not Germanime, or Austranime... just Americanimation. Hi Ubiq.
This thing here kind of says, SCREW European,Australian,Non-Japanese-Asian animation!

    Why not....

"No,where dont want anime over here, that has its own section. Non-Japanese animation is welcome though!"

You're reading entirely too much into it.

Even if you weren't, have you actually seen Millionaire Dogs? Nothing is lost by excluding German animation. If it was France, sure that'd be one thing, but Germany? Pfft.

Usually one bad film wouldn't taint an entire country's artistic product, but Millionaire Dogs justifies making an exception.

Yonkou, you need to learn to appreciate Brennen's sense of humor.

Basically all non-anime animation falls into this section. and some comics.

Ok, Ill lighten up then. But lets talk about non-american (Which I hope includes Latin-America) on my general animation thread!

I didnt really think that would be possible, but after google picturing the film and remembering that I had seen that movie, I remembered that this film justifies this statement.
