Regarding the MG remakes, for some reason I wouldn't want to see them on the level of MGS 4 graphically. I can't explain why, though. I'd like the being around the level of the PS2 games, so I'd want them for the 3DS with HD ports possibly later. I think it'd also be a good way to keep costs down.

To follow up on my last post, apparently Kojima wanted to make a Cobra Unit game but the new team couldn't handle it so they made Rising instead.

KOJIMA!! COME BACK!! MAKE GAMES AGAIN!

I really want a remake of 1. I can't get into it as easily with those PS1 graphics. Make a Peacewalker level update or something.

And they couldn't handle that either.

You mean MGS 1? There's Twin Snakes then.

I don't really see the problems with it. I thought it was good.

I liked Twin Snakes. The majority of the complaints I see from it are the fact that a lot of the cutscenes made Snake look like a typical hollywood action hero. The most ridiculous one coming to mind is when Snake jumped off an incoming missile. Especially odd considering there was that codec conversation after Snake climbed all those stairs and remarked to Campbell how he wasn't as fit as he use to be. I'd rather see Snake as the gruff man in his 30's struggling to make his way through the series.

Personally, though, I didn't mind the game overall. I enjoyed it and loved it. Psycho Mantis is still one of the greatest bosses to ever grace video games.

The cutscenes wered indeed ridiculous or badly directed. Snake screaming "fox !!!!!" before getting stomped made me lol hard. I was supposed to feel very emotional, it was one of the defining moment of the series. The voice acting was undeniabely inferior to the original (lack of emotion). Its not bad Voice acting by today's standards but I am expecting the voices to be at least as good as the original.

The ost of Twin Snakes was ok to good but they did not use "enclosure" its almost a crime not to use it especially for a remake.

Hoàwever, I did like the graphics and environment of Shadow Moses in HQ and the designs of the characters.

The words above MGS5 are Open Ground Reconnaissance Endeavour

Kojima recently tweeted he had something exciting to show at SDCC behind doors, and people who walked out of the presentation said it was amazing.
Cliff Bleszinski ‏@therealcliffyb Just got pulled into a back room at Comic Con by @HIDEO_KOJIMA_EN and showed some crazy new secret stuff. Wow.
This is most likely a leak from the presentation, but nobody will know for sure. Maybe we'll hear more at Kojima's MGS 25th Anniversary Event in Tokyo on August 30th.

They're using the old font again..

Can't wait to see this; I hope it's not too different from the old ones, "Tactical Espionage Action" being replaced kind of worries me.

"Would she have wanted this?" probably refers to the Boss. The Diamond Dogs logo. Everything leads to the conclusion that we're playing Big Boss again.

Let's not forget that this could be fake, though.

Konami confirmed it's fake. The guy behind it even contacted them.
