I look at it like this. Metal Gear games always bring me cause the gameplay always rocks my brain.

    Take for instance MGS: Rising

You really think i'm already waiting in anticipation for Raiden's backstory and why he became the cyber ninja with a mega downer personality in 4?

    No

I could give a fuck less about Raiden.

I'm waiting in anticipation for MGS: Rising because you can cut cars, watermelons, and people in half with a Katana and STILL apparently play through the game completely stealthy.

^ agreed, in Rising I'm more interested in how can I go through the entire game and not kill a single person

Guys this is kind of on topic, but not really, but still awesome:

Too bad I'd have no one to play it with. :(

I realize the storyline is complex and all, but I still can't make heads or tails of MGS2.

That was the first one I played. I was 10 years old. I don't think I've ever been more confused in my life.

The good thing about the 'Metal Gear' series is that despite it have a major part, you can still take the story away, and still have awesome gameplay. I, too am looking forward to all the crap I can cut in Rising.

    Cut cut cut cut cut.

I cannot wait for this game. Even if we have to follow Raiden around and his pathetic "BEAUTY AND THE BEASTS RAW ROSE WHY ME" life for the whole game.

Yeah, that's what almost made me give up the series. I was like "What's this guys problem? He's a fucking kickass super soldier and all the does is whine all the time. What a dick." Then MGS3 and Big Boss came along and I was all like "Awwww yeeeeaah!".

I like Big Boss because he determines somethings value by if he's able to eat it or not.

Yeah. I think the main reason I really liked Metal Gear Solid 3 the best so far(.....Still need to play MGS4) is because it had a really exciting and emotional storyline while not being afraid to get really silly with certain things like the bosses and other elements like the codec conversations.

One thing I'm surprised about is that Metal Gear Solid 4 doesn't have Substance edition yet. Konami/Kojima been doing that since MGS2

That's why I waited, but it doesn't look like there'll be one.

Metal Gear Solid 5 will feature a third-generation Snake.

I don't see how that would be possible.

Yeah, everyone always expected a second edition of MGS4 with trophy support. But I guess they couldn't come up with anything else to add to MGS4 that would warrant a re-release.

Do you seriously think they don't have Big Boss or Solid Snake or Liquid Snake DNA somewhere?

They did, in the form of the remains of Solidus Snake, which were burned in MGS4. Least, that's what I gathered. Course Big Boss was alive all this time, so who knows, maybe he went out and partied over the years.

that's one thing you can't be sure with the Metal Gear series you never know where a plot twist can come from to make more games. If I remember correctly Big Boss was at the end of MGS4
    Spoiler:
then he died due to Snake's FoxDie and yet wasn't he Killed twice by Snake in the MG NES games
so did what did Big Boss do Between the last time he met Snake?

I think he was in a coma. Err, the second time. The first was just a big splosion "nobody could survive that" sorta deal. Which never works of course.

Clearly he became an eyepatch salesman. Good a trade as any.

But yeah, coma. A whole "yeah I was dead, but they brought me back, so I was actually just sleeping." deal.
