You guys complain way too fucking much.

Personally, I liked the chapter a lot. As many people have already said, this isn't the end of the arc, just the fighting (for now, probably); there's still a lot of story to cover. The Sea Kings being sentient was a nice addition, especially if they know Noah's background. Luffy accomplished his goal and is now taking a well deserved nap, good for him. I chuckled at Franky feeling inadequate because his "mecha" looked small standing next to Chopper in Monster point. When Brook asked Nami to wear a mini-skirt I immediately thought back to Enies Lobby. Sorry, Soul King, but you missed your chance to peek at Nami's legs. As someone else said, I'm definitely looking forward to the story that's to come in the chapters ahead.
Also, Conis and Laki... yum. Wonder where Suu is, though...
LOL too true. There's plenty of action manga that focus only on the fights and not too concerned of a plot or a real character development. Some try to make a character development only to utterly fail ...thats why I'm having trouble reading Naruto. Loved the pre-timeskip. afterwards...no. I really tried to give another chance after finaly Hinata admitted her love of Naruto...but that development seemed to die off and be forgotten. Last I tried it was still Naruto beign idiot wanting to "save" a jerk the willingly betrayed his village and wanted to kill Naruto.nah I just gave up finally the humor and enjoyment of Naruto that existed before timeskip is long gone for me. They got too focused on just the action and forgot some character development.
I love that quote sicne its sooo true.
You get way too hype when it's Luffy in question. Didn't Shirahoshi mention his wound was opening before he hit Hody two chapters ago.
Hody bit a pretty big wound in his upper body as you can see at the end of this chapter. Slinging around van sized fists that may weigh ungodly amounts tore the wound even more every time he punched. There could even be a negative consequence to using Haki besides possibly adding weight. A minute is a very long time for a consecutive attack Timeframe for Storm is less than 10 seconds for example because momentum dries up quick. All those battles you're expecting will involve thousands of attacks being exchanged, nobody will ever remain stationary for a full minute or more like a boat. The most concentrated focused looking attacks like Luffy attacking Admirals with stamp, Galaxy Wink, Kizaru laser barrage, Storm, Jet Gattling, etc. only last a few seconds.

Hody may be weak but an open wound is still an open wound.
Also remember, this arc is the one that Oda decided he would apply actual blood loss effects. Many people are assuming that Luffy will need a donation and it will be from a fishman. What better way to state "Luffy needs blood, and a fishman must quickly give it without hesitation" than having him pass out due to loss of blood.
With all the fights that happened before, Luffy had to power through it because shit was still on the line, in this fight he could just take a nap right away, hell he took a nap right in the middle of his fight with Crocodile.

corrected it for you.
Just want to put this out first for a reminder of Luffy's ability to take shark bites (he took a few before this as well) when things are really on the line. Just... yeah. This Luffy's about 854389789234 times weaker than the current one, too, might want to keep that in mind.

Well I'm pretty sure however big the wound is now, it's way bigger than what Hody ripped up. And keep in mind the wound initially opened from just using G3. It happened before he started attacking at all. So I don't really see how you can deny that G3 seems to have a really big potential negative effect on him. Or is this one particular wound just so amazingly, ungodly horrible that it does things no other wound will? I find that hard to believe.Hody bit a pretty big wound in his upper body as you can see at the end of this chapter. Slinging around van sized fists that may weigh ungodly amounts tore the wound even more every time he punched. There could even be a negative consequence to using Haki besides possibly adding weight. A minute is a very long time for a consecutive attack.
Anyway, you're just describing why it makes sense for Luffy to be damaged enough to go unconscious when he lets himself go. I'm not disagreeing with that. What I'm saying is only that that's nowhere near synonymous with Luffy being in a bad enough state to be unable to fight anymore. I'm saying if he had to keep going for a long-ass time, he would've done so. If Hody showed up and needed some more hitting, he would've hit him some more. Anything else would be a tremendous insult to the ungodly endurance that one should expect of a post-timeskip Luffy. Zoro stayed conscious through seven hells in Thriller Bark because shit (his life) was on the line, you're saying this was a tenth as bad as that? It's insane to even suggest.
Why would you want to skip an entire arc?
And with all the conections to the world of One Piece. I still fail to see where is it that this arc has no point.

And c'mon, Luffy just took a rest after trying to destroy a island sized ship. Can't you even do that?
I think some people are confusing taking a rest with hitting a limit. He may have fainted, but he hasn't reached any limit yet. If Luffy actually needs a blood transfusion, the significance behind it is purely symbolic of the changing attitude of the islanders. He'd still be fine without one.
Also, the arc isn't over until the fat fish sings.![]()

They hope that Luffy will turns into Super Saiyan and raging on the island untill fishman island floats on the surface. All they want is nonstop actions just like in marineford, ok in bleach n naruto, from start to end of the arc - so that we can see strawhat fight all the time even on sunny having a party.
Gah, this is One Piece, and this is how Oda pleased us from the first chapter. U guys just popup out of nowhere after marineford and start complaining untill now.
Luffy's job was done. That's why he gave up and passed out. Isn't it obvious that he'd have just kept on going if he wasn't told to stop? Plus, it's a pretty consistent Oda thing: you know fight time's done when Luffy gets some shut eye.
Surprised by how much Luffy is being affected by the damage he took. He's had worst really.
I already have enough stress from the ironically stressful holidays; I don't need more coming from here. My ignore list is huge now.
So I'm wondering why that exact group of Sea Kings is showing up again...
I never even thought about that second line. That's genius. I always thought it was a bit unexplained how that rickety ship got to Enies Lobby.
Just thought of something - did we ever find out what the "giant shadow" lurking around Fishman Island, that Keimi mentioned at the start of the arc, was, or is Oda still owing us that explanation?
*plays Overtaken for the Sea Kings*

well we know that the fishmen can bite really hard like arlong, but the bite from hody was worse since he took the pills. so its not that unrealistic that luffy passes out.
